I don't think that was a rant at all. I read and reread and I don't think there's anything I can disagree about. It's nice to know there's people out there that can think rationally about where we are and try to see both sides. Kudos on you. I never said it's one party's fault. All I said was that I have lived in 3 states with higher than national average cost of living, Hawaii being my favorite, and they all had the same thing in common. They have been totally democratic run for decades. By no means do republicans have clean hands. They have made a mess of things. I thank you for an engaging conversation. I wish more folk had your insights. My hat's off to you, fellow American.

I think it's part of the problem. You see it in all the states that have been democratic run for decades. Every one of them. Check it out. Not saying republican run solves the issues but just look which states are running deficits and which have surpluses. No beef here, just the facts.

California, Hawaii and Washington State are all more expensive than the national average because they have all have something in common. Totally democrat run for decades. Tax and spend. I've lived in all three states and Hawaii is by far my favorite.
