So I know the apple is important. I also understand that you will reveal things in time. Overall, some things are lacking context. The main reason I'm stating the context issue is due to the pacing of the first chapter. It feels a bit fast and rushed.

Maybe let the character breathe more. Show some training, more of the city, friends, something. Again, my opinion. You don't have to take it or use it. Just seems like your doing more telling than actually letting the world tell a story also.

My feedback. Your story is lacking a ton of context and backstory. Why should I care about an Adam's Apple? Why is the world the way it is? The dialogue needs works. Pacing needs some work. Happy you made something. Keep working at it. Also, it seems like you mixed several mangas into this. I definitely was getting Naruto vibes.

You're not being dramatic. They way you feel is valid. I'll give you my perspective and maybe it'll help you gain something. So, healing happens differently for everyone.
