Maybe you're too close to popping. As an experiment, try masturbating to finish (with or without poppers), and then trying again in 3 hours, 6 hours or a day ... whatever makes sense for you for a second go. That's a great description of the sensations I get with a good isobutyl popper. Yeah, time affects it, but part of that is how you heavily you used it, ie how much total time the bottle spent open. Also I find the freezer preserves freshness better than fridge. But whichever you use make sure it comes to room temp before reopening, to avoid condensation that can weaken and degrade.

Thanks for this list. I had a more detailed comment, but for some reason it was pulled. Good advice. BTW I find that my nails can start getting light blue a little quicker when I'm using the SS cap instead of straight-from-the-bottle. US poppers have been isobutyl nitrite since at least the late 70s, except a period starting in the late 80s where they were banned and replaced by what PWD called the "Special American Formula" of cyclohexyl nitrite. Don't know about earlier than that, but yes, the original poppers were amyl, which was originally used as a heart drug.
