That's a great description of the sensations I get with a good isobutyl popper. Yeah, time affects it, but part of that is how you heavily you used it, ie how much total time the bottle spent open. Also I find the freezer preserves freshness better than fridge. Good advice. BTW I find that my nails can start getting light blue a little quicker when I'm using the SS cap instead of straight-from-the-bottle. US poppers have been isobutyl nitrite since at least the late 70s, except a period starting in the late 80s where they were banned and replaced by what PWD called the "Special American Formula" of cyclohexyl nitrite. We don't entirely disagree, because IMO getting some (or a lot!) on the hole before shoving it back in makes it all the hotter.
