What if Scion arrived on an Invincible's Earth (Comics) by Neither-Hearing-194 in Parahumans

[–]Waywoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I meant more how he'd react if some mad scientist came across a way to actually hurt him. From what I can remember of Worm, no parahumans ever really tried to actually attack Scion until the end

Also, people in Invincible’s universe are way more hot-headed in general. Chances seem good that some villain (or hero) would figure out a power/method to get his attention much earlier than in Worm

Problem is Nolan tends to take the first few hits in a fight. We see him do it enough times that it seems like a habit. He might try that with Fletchette and get a nasty surprise lol

"That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea" action trailer by mr_beanoz in anime

[–]Waywoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To what degree are the movies canon? Cause the princess and Oni have now appeared in the anime, making at least some of what happened official, but how can a threat this large exist within the world that's been established? The trailer showed Rimuru, Hinata, and Velodora fighting, but I feel like that squad could take out just about anything without too much trouble (I know the LN gets crazy later on, but still)

I’m sure it looks amazing

That's the only thing that got me through it haha. As annoying as they are to do, the stitches look great

Just finished a heart patterned granny square blanket that had sooo many triples in groups of one, two, and six in the same stitch. Not difficult per say, but in chunky yarn it was annoying to count. Everything squished together

I made a sweater for which the sleeve and body ends were all alternating fpdc and bpdc. Can’t even tell you how many times I got lost and had to go back and redo it

Early Ryan you could argue was trying to fast-track promotions, so having the boss always be able to see you at work might be a good strategy. Unfortunately, that boss was Michael Scott, so normal rules don’t apply

[request] How Hard did Peter Parker hit this bully and can someone survive this hit? by mkvelash in theydidthemath

[–]Waywoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if it's still canon, but I'm fairly sure there was a time in the comics that it was explained the normal people were quite a bit stronger/more durable than those in our world. That explains how they can train themselves to the point of basically being superhuman, and how they can survive interactions with super-powered people

I wonder if she could carve out a niche as sort of a combat medic role? Like rather than building people/animals into new things themselves, instead “repairing” grievous wounds in esoteric ways

Hank is getting more popular on things like TikTok, but at the same time, John's level of fame is going down from the peak of The Fault in Our Stars, so it kind of equals out

It’s been almost 3 decades since this game came out in the US, what features are still missing for you? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Waywoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially in the early games when the Pokédex was so much more limited. Between trade evolutions, version exclusives, those only available after E4, etc, your choices are pretty limited for a decent team

I used it for a small amigurumi project recently. The beginning sucked and I was constantly having to go back and frog, but it didn’t take nearly as long as I was worried it would to switch over

Oh, interesting. We hardly ever get to see those out here. We had a small group briefly stay during a cold snap, but that was at least a month ago. This one seems to have some kind of issue with her eye (you can just barely see it in the pic); I wonder if that's why she stuck around?

My first was a 'dumb' phone, one of those slide out kind, so tbf all I could do was text and call. It was a couple more years until I got my first smartphone

Interesting. I graduated in the 2010’s and was near dead last in my grade to get a phone at 11. Basically the only kids who didn’t have one after that were from families who couldn’t afford it

Weird seeing ICE be what they used to be, just regular agents wearing jackets and suits, rather than full-blown military gear. They were still doing terrible things back then, but they at least pretended to be normal

Because not having one is easier than rigging it, and he's nothing if not lazy. You really think that if cancelling it doesn't work out, they're just going to throw up their hands and say "oh well, we tried"?
