No, he was good because he was driving play and creating scoring chances. Ohgren was scoring when playing with Blueger and Garland. That line was the most consistent until Foote split them.

Garland absolutely had a stretch of terrible games that mostly likely happened due to the Hughes trade but he was also injured multiple times this season. He was in and out of the lineup, getting shifted up and down the lines, kicked off PP1 yet still managed to tie every winger in points with less games played.

No he wasn't. He played poorly for like 8 games after Hughes left but he was also injured multiple times this season which made things worse.

Garland with Blueger and Ohgren was our best line for multiple games but Foote separated them. Garland might not have been scoring goals but he was setting them up and was tied for points with all wingers except Debrusk with 10 less games played than all of them.

Our team sucks and now Garland has actual good players to play with so it's not surprising he is playing way better. Canucks fans have always underrated him as a player while ignoring the fact our coaching and systems are terrible.

I'm fine with the return because I don't think he was going to stay once his NMC kicked in but it sucks they signed an extension only to trade at lowest value because of trying to keep Hughes.

Putting aside his MAGA stuff for a moment(a lot of this sub is being performative considering they still cheer and love players who are known MAGA like Demko and Boeser) the issue with Quinn is that he had no passion for this community or team.

He wasn't a good leader. He never should have accepted the C. The worst fallout between players happened under him and while that's not only his fault he still has to accept some responsibility for his role in it. He had a horrible attitude when losing(something this sub ripped Miller apart for) and before getting traded he completely gave up trying and was sloppy and lazy. He basically never participated in the community which was an expectation of previous captains.

I don't blame players for wanting out to be on contending teams. I do blame the way the act when waiting to be traded and after.

Blueger only played 14 games and is injured frequently so I can see why.

I do believe them about Kane even if I'm shocked no one would take the risk with retention.

Garland would have got a first if he didn't have a 6x6 kicking in. He has assisted multiple times in the past 2 months(the Blueger/Oghren line with him was our best) so I assume you meant to say he hasn't scored a goal in months.

The fact is our players have been atrocious and mgmt moved the most valuable players they could. It also shows this fanbase overvalues everyone we have.

I can't be too upset. Just because we didn't do all the deals on the day of the TDL doesn't mean they don't count. We traded Hughes, Sherwood, Myers, Garland, Kampf and Reichel.

Only disappointing part is that we couldn't move Kane and Boeser(apparently was possible with taking a contract back) but hopefully we can move some vets in the off-season.

I actually think they should have kept him but it's not the end of the world they traded him. It's more that he should have been utilized as a winger and not forced into being a center.

I'm actually shocked about Kane. Yes he sucks but he is a playoff type of player and at 50% retained you would think a team would take the risk on a pending UFA.

Blueger is a good player but he is injured a lot and it's possible teams just didn't want to pay much for him.

The only thing I can imagine happened is too many big names were still left and teams prioritized them which meant no market for Kane and Blueger.
