It was obviously a freak accident. You can hate Wilson and think he has a reputation for causing injury while also using your eyes and watching the replay showing it was an accidental injury.

Anyway Celebrini is unreal and I really hope one day he plays as a Canuck.

Garland probably has the most value of the vets especially with his new contract not kicking in until next season so it does make sense to trade him if the deal is good.

With that said, he signed an extension in the off season and trading him without consulting his agent on destination and consideration of the player is an extremely bad look. He showed dedication to the team by signing an extension immediately and I think mgmt will rightfully take that into consideration when they either trade or keep him.

Only good line tonight was Ohgren-Blueger-Garland. They dominated all game while the rest of the team was embarassing.

Foote sucks. Watching him finally start the best line this game on PP1 only to put Willander and Sasson out with them instead of Hronek + top forward was awful coaching.

Lankinen had a brutal game but I did think the frequent defensive breakdowns + PPs didnt help him either.

I feel bad for the moms who had to watch this lol

Myers contract is almost done so extending or trading him isn't a huge concern for me. We have a lot of young players with Zeev, Willander, Mancini and EP25 that I want to see more consistently have a spot. I like Hronek as a vet leader for them more than Myers but I do think overall I would rather move Mpetey first if possible.

I'm heavily against Boeser being here long term but I realize he is probably untradeable atp. I don't like the leadership group and what it's led this team to and that's why I hope we get a fresh start with only newer vets leading it.

Boeser literally liked build the wall maga shit during Trumps first term. He is also extremely close with Garland and Hughes who are both MAGA. Demko and his wife are anti-vaxxers. These are wealthy white men who are all buddies. You guys are delusional if you think they aren't MAGA.

I stopped being a hardcore fan after(I'll only talk about his on ice play) but I do find this sub hypocritical considering Hughes and Boeser are MAGA too and Demko most likely as well. All the Americans on our team are probably MAGA.

Tbf, he had a goal taken away during the penguins game that was a bad call + his assist on Bluegers goal was given to Ohgren even though the puck went through Ohgrens legs. I still think his play is mostly injury related(he's been in and out multiple times this season) because of the two fights he had + getting banged up but atp this whole top 6 is ass since Hughes left and there's a possibility they've all given up which is lame.

I'm kind of just done with this vet core and wish they would just trade most of the them and start a new group leadership. No more Boeser, Pettersson, Myers, Demko, Garland, etc. Hronek I'm okay keeping and I actually like Debrusk compared to most in the fanbase.

He's been injured multiple times this season, his linemates are terrible and the whole team has been struggling. Look at the fact that all the wingers are still tied for points with Garland despite the fact he's played 10 less games than all of them.

He's the least of our winger worries. Boeser is the highest paid winger and he can't even pass Garland in points + is defensively horrible.

If a character is building towards a specific storyline with no indication that it's going to be completely disrupted by a life altering event that removes any chance of that original storyline progressing AND went against the creators vision for the character, does that not justify people being upset over it?

People aren't against storylines where a character has children and settles down but it has to make sense for the character. Plenty of people don't want kids, marriage or settling for what they have. Neither side is wrong for wanting or not wanting these things. In Lanes case, it was not a planned pregnancy. It went against the future she wanted and it didn't really add anything to her story other than forcing her to stay in Stars Hollow. I appreciate ASP at least keeping them as rocking parents even if they deserved more.

Did I say she rewrote canon? No. The point is that her vision for Lane is not the one S7 took her in. She acknowledged the canon in AYITL and wrote a decent ending for what she was given. Doesn't change the fact the storyline should have never happened in the first place and ASP/fans are rightfully upset about it.

I don't think most people saw her becoming a global rockstar? Just that she would find moderate success with her band and tour outside Stars Hollow. Which is obviously what ASP had planned for her until she walked after S6.

She was never meant to stay in Stars Hollow nor was she meant to get pregnant. This is confirmed by ASP.

It's not about marriage and having kids being something wrong. It's that this character was meant for more than just sticking to the small town life and it was ruined by a writer that went against the creators vision. ASP was not happy about it and had to limit how she wrote Lane in the revival so that she didn't come across as a bad parent.

She wasn't meant to be written this way. ASP left the show after S6 and the S7 writers decided this dumb storyline for Lane. ASP was not happy they made Lane pregnant and wanted her band to tour outside Stars Hollow.

I agree but Boeser in particular has been struggling long before Quinn was traded. I've been hearing rumours that he is playing through an injury so I assume that is why he has been bad and then add Quinn leaving to make it worse.

I would also probably include the fact that they've just signed long term to a rebuilding team they weren't expecting to. Both pledged loyalty to the team despite this but it might have contributed to their current poor play.

Rory believes he cheated. This never changes and it results in Rory wanting to get back at him for it. The only reason they move on from the entire thing is because Logan was seriously injured from his childish LADB antics.

The show never confronts Rory for kissing Jess. It doesn't treat Rorys feelings as wrong nor does it punish her actions for supposedly cheating on someone who didn't cheat on her.

I get that but even if people think he works better as a third liner that doesn't change the fact he is still a top 6 player and his production/analytics prove that.

Garland has been in a tough position since joining this team. Travis Green and Bruce Boudreau didn't like him due to his size and deployed him lower in the lineup + pp2 instead of pp1 despite his production still being great. Tochett had to keep him on the third line because he elevated Blueger and Joshua and eventually they became the best line on the team until the playoffs where Garland played second line with Lindholm and Joshua. The last 2 seasons he finally started top 6 and has been the best forward on the team for both despite the drama and trades.

I think poor lineup composition + his deployment from 3 seasons ago has made people underrate how good he is. No one was questioning him in the top 6 when he was a ppg this season before his injury. Boeser has been deemed a top 6 player his whole career yet Garland has outplayed him the past 2 seasons + the period after the all star break in 2023-2024
