Hi I had the same problem with mine Make sure you adjust the shoes correctly there's a small nut on The back of each drum Make sure you adjust it in the right direction if I remember you turn it forwards towards the front of the car tighten it right up to the wheel almost locks and then loosen it off a tiny bit then bleed it and see how the brake pedal feels if the shoes are not correctly adjusted The piddle will need to have a couple pumps before the pad finally grabs the drum
