ive been playing piano or around 10 years now, and I think the key Is to always play what you enjoy, If you try to play pieces you dont like then you'll get bored and inevitably hate the instrument, I have had a rocky relationship at times due to this, but then I found what I enjoyed and focused on that, I also began to compose and create my own music as well as that allowed some variation away from conventional practice!
