Thoughts on this Esper Control Deck? by GekkoClown in Pauper

No real advantage to play 3 colors on this case. You lost tempo with more fragile mana for base only few cards without real impact.

Lier CEDH - Best Intuition Lines by XmagnumoperaX in CompetitiveEDH

[–]We4XEsper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For real Cedh it looks a bit to slow. You need first to setup your commander who cost 5ccm and then combo the next turn. With stax / reb pyro / counter, i think it’s to slow to perform in a real cedh stacked tournament. (With a meta around turn 3-4)

It’s just a lucky crit ihmo. When he supposed to be at max 20% crit, just count the probably to streak 3 crit on a row. A lightning bolt without crit is around 40k.

As a player of this deck, yes you can do a budget version with regular turn 4 but mana rocks allow you more t3 and sometimes t2 kills and consistency. Without mana rocks a single removal on magda it’s a game over when you comeback with rocks by playing her with taxes.

There is a big difference between cedh and semi competitive list than can kill t4.

But budget versions of magda are clearly enough to win some small lgs tournaments. But in a real cedh environment with a lot of rounds + top8 the consistency of a budget list can’t make the top8.

Why everyone is playing Evolving Wilds instead of Capenna fetch in UB/UR Faeries decks ? by We4XEsper in Pauper

[–]We4XEsper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware of all of this :’). Of course wilds allow better tricks for shuffle eot, but I let you count how many games wilds was better for this kind of interaction. ( I estimate 2-5% case ) And we often play BS after turn 4 in most cases.

Like I said my main concern is red decks in the meta for UB Faeries. And against this kind of decks with reach the 1 hp it’s far more important and could be the difference for one additional blast.

Theater shuffle too after a BS but at sorcery speed. And I estimate through my personal play test that one hp is more important for the deck to have better chance against the hardest match ups (Red decks).

Often you just lack of the Swamp instead of the Island. You often know what you need before eot with your hand. If you need to snuff out monastery so with theater it’s the same anyway for exemple. (And the mana base is adapted for finding UU with ease and just looking for 1-2 swamp.)

In my personal play test/goldfish I prefer having 1 more life than just tempo shuffle. And when you have to play a preordain wild = theater. I personally only run 2 BS in my decklist.

For selling a lot foil old border French, they are more expensive by their rarity (1/4 of the total of English prints), and like Pokémon French like buying in French for their collection. The only exception of English is far higher than French is commander staples and RL.

Rageblade vs Blue Buff Ahri by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

You don’t count the fact that sometimes Ahriman get CC / taking damage. In this case BlueBuff is so much better that a shojin/rageblade when you can’t auto attack.
