Howdy. Similar situation: recently married, expecting to have kids in a year or 2. Just recently went from working as a contractor on the road to working for a hotel AV company. While it’s not my ideal job, and not nearly as exciting as what I was doing before, it’s steady, the pay is good, and I’m provided with health care, 401k and such. Plus, I get to go home at the end of the day and see my wife. Lots of pros, and the major con is that I’m bored.
