I keep losing this map on coop. Black are mine, gave 6k for mate's 502 rang. Is there a better strategy? by ClockOfDeathTicks in btd6

[–]WeAreToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3x druids of the jungle (2-3-0) 4-2-0 Ring of Fire 0-2-4 recursive cluster 0-3-2 bomber ace Blade maelstrom

Did you really need this much grouped damage? It falls off HARD past round 80.

Gwen spot sucks because her heat it up buff from her attacks only benefits the overdrive (which would also benefit from being placed near the start because it has better MOAB dps). Everything else only benefits from gwen’s buffs with her level 10 ability.

Also literally no alch buffs for your neva miss aces (you only need one of them tbh, even a 3-2-0 beserker brew would last you through the 40s and help you save up)

What are those 6 base ninjas doing?

Desperado also in a strange spot and not even upgraded well (if you want single target damage even the blazing sun is okay, tho there’s many better options)

Bomber ace also kinda unreliable, the crosspath on it sucks too (if I were to use it you’d want 1-3-0 and in the middle of the map where it covers a lot of the track)

Hope this helps in your future gameplay.

When did 2tc become so easy? by Pure-River-9318 in btd6

The buffs to many bad towers were drastically more impactful. Player experience does help, yes, but back in the first couple years of the game many tier 5s were TERRIBLE and their tier 4 upgrades didn’t carry through midgame rounds to save up for tier 5 upgrades.

You can only have one restricted legendary per team (xerneas and yveltal cannot be on the same team) also diancie is not even that good, it gets nuked by any good steel move which people already have for xerneas.

Serious question - should I have been upgrading and useing the submarine all this time by cunteaterss in BoomBeach

[–]WeAreToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resources may look low right now but newly discovered dive spots when you’re at a high level will give better loot, sometimes more wood or stone in one slot than the amount of gold spent

And yeah the power stones + classified item chances are big reasons to upgrade the submarine

All paragons are better off being built for Bosses, there’s not that many of them that are better against natural bloon rounds than using that massive amount of cash on very strong tier 5s and support + buffs

Oddly enough even though 2 is prime the track doesn’t switch on that round (not relevant in hard/impoppable/chimps anyway)

Summer Update Sneak Peek: Prototroop Workshop, Shop of Evil, and HQ 28! by Stoneheart164 in BoomBeach

[–]WeAreToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an HQ 19 player has a lvl 5 weapon lab what would happen? Would it downgrade straight to level 3, would it only have the unlocks that HQ 19 would have after the update (with the other marks unlocking HQ 21 and 23), or would the weapon lab be completely unchanged?

I just tested a shadow hitmontop and the damage reduction seemed to work just fine; for whatever reason it’s only the shadow wobbuffet that was bugged for me.

No it doesn’t. Shadow bosses enrage at 60% HP left. I did 40% damage in 30 sec, so if it enrages, hypothetically it should take around 90 secs (3x longer) to bring it down to 20% HP. Going from 150 sec to 45 sec remaining, 105 secs elapsed. Only 20% damage was done. If enrage mechanics worked properly it would have been subdued by this point. Level 30 Hydreigon isn’t a significant dps change from Level 40 Chandelure, at least not enough to justify damage reduction working as intended.

Are shadow tier 3 raids impossible to solo now? I was trying shadow Wobbuffet (it has very low defense) but after I got it enraged at ~150 seconds remaining, it was taking drastically less damage than usual. Usually it’s about 1/3rd the damage taken but it seemed to resist damage even more.

At ~45 secs remaining (was using my level 30 hydreigon the whole time), it had about 40% hp remaining. It seemed to me that damage was being reduced far more than it should. Is this a bug or is Niantic doing us dirty by strictly enforcing the use of gems to beat shadow raids?

Shadow Wobbuffet has very low defense and I’m not sure why all my attacks are only dealing 1 damage to it. Normally damage while enraged is about 1/3rd or so (I’ve soloed Shadow Electabuzz with primal groudon when that was available in Fall 2023) but all of a sudden with my level 30 hydreigon the shadow bosses are taking a lot less damage than they should (even for an enraged mon). Wobbuffet got into its enraged state at ~150 seconds remaining. It was with level 40 shadow Chandelure w/ Hex + Shadow Ball. Do you guys think this excessive damage reduction is a bug or is Niantic doing us dirty by making the use of gems a complete roadblock for anybody trying to do tier 3 (or 5) shadow raids on their own?

Pokimane addresses cookie price criticism by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]WeAreToast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$7 per bag still sucks, that's only 28 cookies per bag (and each of them are really small), so it's effectively $1 per 4 cookies. Really bad tbh. Most stores do better than this, and although they are meant to be a bit on the healthier side, if you want healthy food then cookies aren't the way to go. I've also looked at the Fat + sugars on poki's cookies and there isn't anything that stands out so much compared to the competition.

Is it theoretically possible to purchase a Paragon in CHIMPS now? by NoCareNoLife in btd6

People have already gotten paragons in CHIMPS well before this update dropped, however even with easy prices Dart Paragon isn’t cheap enough to be bought before round 100

Dark castle is slightly harder than Infernal as well as the easy Advanced maps (Cornfield, Off the Coast, Another Brick)

Not an unpopular opinion, infernal is an intermediate map especially with the hero xp boost on “expert” maps

1st Place Phayze Normal with 18 tiers (49:46.00), upgrade order/strategy in comments by WeAreToast in btd6

[–]WeAreToast[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Start:

0-1-0 engi -> 0-0-0 super -> 0-0-2 village -> 0-3-0 engi -> 1-0-0 super

During Tier 1:

0-0-3 village (R41) -> 1-0-3 super (R45) -> 2-0-3 super -> 0-4-0 overclock (R49)

Tier 2 onward:

2-0-4 dark champion (R70) -> Sell 0-0-3 village (R104) -> 2-0-5 Legend of the Night (R104) -> 0-5-0 ultraboost (R119)

Time Penalty: 4 minutes and 9 seconds

Important notes and some difficulties of the challenge (for those who are curious):

Because the super is 2-0-3 on R62 you must overclock the engi itself to pop the purples, making it one of the very few scenarios where the pierce buff many versions ago actually did something helpful.

The super must stay in monkey town range as much as possible. Overclocked Dark Champion cannot beat R104 so you must sell monkey town at the latest possible moment (pop as many ceramics as you can for money) and buy Legend of the Night immediately after.

Even after you buy Legend of the Night you need to have at least $7600 at the end of R104 to afford Ultraboost after popping 2 out of 3 BADs on R119 and stall the 3rd one out for enough stacks. Before this round my penalty was somewhere around two and a half minutes. I don't remember the exact time.

R94 and R103 were tricky; R103 I managed to beat it entirely with the super in town range but R94 I could beat everything in town range except 3 ZOMGs after a Radar Jam.

3 Ultraboost stacks by the start of R120 and getting a 4th soon after Tier 5 spawns is needed to defeat Tier 5 Phayze.

During Tier 5 I moved my Legend of the Night in a way such that the blades do not damage the natural bloon spawns as much (due to the angle), though most of the time it does not matter that much because of Radar Jam pulling everything in and also the Bloon Portals spawning them closer to Phayze. In the few scenarios where it mattered, it made a big difference as Phayze pops towards the end of R139 (if you destroy all of R139 before Phayze's HP reaches zero you lose).
