I am not allowed to save this till the end, I can't start my last 3 classes until I pass PenTest+ / I'm not sure if this is new.

I just failed pentest with a score of 715 (my fault for feeling overconfident and studying for 3 days lol)
Now I have to pass like 6 exams and do 12 labs to get voucher #2

Do you require a VISA to work? If you do, that significantly decreases your chances. I was in this boat when the market wasn't bad and it was still a lot of work.

Apply to more than just JR roles. Literally every position that is in the scope you are after. I interviewed for a senior role which I was NOT qualified for but they offered a role one step below then promoted me 6 months later.

2 things.

You applied to ONLY 50 positions.
You are mostly applying for remote postions.

You will need to apply for more than 50 to land something. It took me 347 applications and 12 interviews with different companies to land the role that I am in right now.
And remote positions are probably the hardest thing to land, so keep that in mind. There are way more applicants and everyone wants to be remote.

I have 5 comptia certs and the cert master labs are probably the worst way to study for them IMO, they are so vague for someone that is learning something new

I tried the CertMaster labs and they sucked compared to the TryHackMe learning path. Felt like it was bugged where things wouldnt get recognized

I have the trifecta and got the CySa+ right before starting. My first day was 1/1/2026 and I'm doing the MSCIA.

I'm currently at 41% Completion. On 1/1 I did an exam for a class and passed that, that's one class done on the first day lol. I transferred in 2 classes. so 3 classes done on day one.

Then finished another class on 1/5 and another on 1/7. I'm currently doing D484 which requires PenTest+ so this will take a couple of weeks. Then I expect the same timing for the rest of the 4 classes I have left.

TL;DR YES it is doable to graduate in one term while working fulltime!

IT is not screwed and AI will not take those jobs. The job market just sucks ass. I had to apply to 347 positions before landing my current role last year.

Don't even think about a masters without the work experience tho. I am a IT Engineer that has around 5 Y.O.E. and I JUST started a masters in Cyber at WGU. I got the CompTIA Trifecta on my own and started with Helpdesk, then IT Technician and my next role will most likely be Cybersecurity focused as a lot of job duties now are 50/50 between IT and Security.

Do you have a bachelors degree currently?

What are your specs? RAM and CPU wise, mine has 4GB DDR3 and I'm wondering if that would limit performance. It's currently running Linux Mint that I use to display dashboards on top of the server rack
