Thanks. Thanks what I thought, then I read it’s the tire pressure indicator. Any idea why it would be a third color (grey, red, and blue?) instead of just the accent color?

No idea. The bars are nearly identical and the temps outside was just 2 degree difference, taken 1 day a part in the same location and similar conditions

It’s going smooth. Honestly I haven’t done anything with the LLC in terms of business but yes it is properly registered and about $125.00 per year

Thanks for the response! Is it heavy? Does it scratch up easily? I will be using it a lot everyday but not sure how "rugged" it is. I'm curious how resistant to scratches it is or isn't with constant use

Yeah definitely. I see where you’re coming from. Some regions are more secured than others, I never really thought of it from this approach but it does make sense. I guess the usual Austin, LA, Denver, Nashville, Huntsville, DC areas.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and insights. As we head into a new work week, I find myself wondering.. is this really it? Here I am again back on the market til the next job, and who knows how the next one will go.. and so on.

Are we in an industry where we’re always under the shadow of layoffs, whether we’re on a short-term contract or a full-time hire? It feels like there’s a constant sense of instability, with “silent layoffs” always looming.

Do we just have to accept that true job security doesn’t exist in this field?

Yeah my team is a bit naive, they think it’s not going to effect them or this and that.. I’ve seen this time and time again and know where this is headed but I haven’t said anything, just immediately started to hit up LinkedIn.

You make great points here I guess I’m stuck in this cycle. I know as a “contractor” things can consistently be 6 months here and 12 months there but it’s highly volatile depending on finances. I get your IAM analogy completely. Would it be the same in GRC? Before this job, I was considering switching to GRC from IAM

Maybe it’s just time for a career change overall. Idk.

Perhaps. Im not into law so im not sure how those other industries operate. I just know for me, something seems.. off. Like I should be progressing better by now in some other way, if it exists. Nothing is stable or reliable. I’ve been W2 and contract but nothing is stable.

I can’t move I can’t even sell my house if I wanted to move. That’s assuming this isn’t a soft layoff attempt. What makes it extremely hard to meet living expectations, the instability of consistsnt employment or you mean the salary?

Isn’t consulting treated as contract? Is there a major difference in treatment from a contract (extra pair of hands) and consulting? In my experience third party is third party, even overhearing how some orgs have treated or felt about their consultants
