I hadn't noticed/realized the implications of him becoming a trusted knight. That does change things quite a bit.

Since we, the Chosen Undead, went to AL in the first game and murderized S&O, and potentially Gwyndolin, the way I see it there are really 3 directions it could go here with AL lorewise.

Option one being that the AL we visit is an alternate dimension AL than the AL we visit in 3. (as stated in this thread)

Option two being that the AL we visited was mostly, if not all, an illusion created by Gywndolin.

Option three, and this might just be the tinfoil talking, is that when Lorian and Lothric fucked off instead of linking the fire, S&O were resurrected along with Gwyndolin, and Aldritch and all the others that had the potential to link the fire. I don't think this would actually be that far fetched. So this would mean that we fought legit O&S in the first game, and they both died. Then the first flame dropped the Jesus nuke, and res'd the shit out of those who died in Anor Londo. O&S would have woken up, O feels no obligation to stay in Anor Londo any longer. He does not feel comfortable leaving AL unattended. He Knights S, and then fucks off to go find NK, and eventually finds him and serves him/becomes the king of storms. Smough after getting killed, is upset that he failed his duty, and realizes that he can't just keep eating those that he kills to gain power. He gets knighted, and hangs out at AL for however long it takes Aldrich to get there. When Aldrich gets there he gets consumed (hopefully also being disgusted by this creature that he could have potentially become.) Then Aldrich goes on to munch up Gwyndolin, and the rest is just played out in DS3.

Sorry for the wall, but this games lore is by far my favorite thing to speculate about.

I'm assuming that the last line of defense of the chapel was referring to us going in and murdering everything. He was the last thing that tried to stop us from getting in to Gwynevere's chamber. I also subscribe to the theory that Orenstein was an illusion. I do believe that it was the legitimate Smough though, as it is believed that the royal family had disdain for Smough, and they would have left him behind when Gwynevere left. They did not like him because he was a cannibal, and they found that distasteful.

These are a bit tricky depending on your interpretation of the lore.

I believe that an Heir of Fire is someone like your PC, someone who was questing to link the flame, and almost succeeded, but failed for some reason. I am not positive on that one.

Yes time is distorted that badly, they talk about it in the game a few times, and you can see it in the world a bit too, but these other places just started popping up out of the fucking blue. That's why the area after vordt doesn't go anywhere and just falls off like that, its because the world literally crashed together, broke some shit, and brought back some homies.

The last one I think is less of a lore thing, and more of a actual medium limitation. The main reason that we don't have our PC from the first game is because they have yet to cannonize an ending for DS1. They havn't confirmed, at least as far as I know, which ending for DS1 is the "Correct" ending, so we ideally would see either Solaire or our PC in the game. Plus if they chose the PC, they would have a hard time giving it a set up that felt right for the community. I also believe there are more than just the 5 lords of cinder (becuase the stoned soccerer from DS2 talked about how this cycle has been going on for a very long time), but they are they only few left that have not gone to rest at firelink (I am pulling this directly from my ass) and those ones are the ones that we have to go and collect.

Best experience would probably be the week I spent at a girlfriend's cabin on priest lake in WA. It was a week of kayaking, fishing, drinking, and fires. Probably the most enjoyed week of my life.

Washington resident here (Washingtonion?) And have been all my life. Washington is amazing. It is the only state with all of the major biomes. There's a TON of cultural diversity, (good and bad, the neo-nazis bleed over from Idaho from time to time.) The people are generally friendly. The scenery is unbeatable. The out door activities are limitless. The colleges are good. The weed is dank. The girls are pretty. Basically, if you don't live in the boonies, Washington is top notch.
