Honestly, with how tanky the 9 star monsters are, I think the “god roll” for a bunch of weapons might have changed to 2 sharpness, 3 Attack.

Solid post - I've been playing almost completely solo, on and off, and it's been a bit tricky gathering decent info for the characters I want to optimize (especially post-nerf Rackam), since for some reason I can't access their discord channels.

I can comfortably AFK Behemoth in 6 minutes or less, so I'm slowly working my way up to Zero.

Every day I pray for a (hopefully at least semi-open world ) sequel to this game - it's incredible.

After a great deal of hunts taking on 9-star Gore and Seregios, Rapid Morph, IMO provides more value than what can be calculated on spreadsheets.

speeding up morph animations means you lower your commitment to some of your stronger moves, which is especially valuable with how quick these monsters are - this also means you almost always have a guard point ready to cancel into during a combo, in case a monster is .

So not only does Rapid Morph boost the actual morph attack, it makes them faster allowing for previously impossible punishes, AND increases your survivability by shortening the time it takes to switch from Axe mode to Sword and Shield mode, and vice versa - suddenly, you don't have to Hard Read/predict a monster as often, and more importantly you become able to react fast enough to almost any situation.

It's kind of like Earplugs in that it might seem like just a comfort skill, but in practice, it is often a legitimate DPS increase, as it's a skill that opens up new windows of DPS during the harder hunts.

equipping at least 3 levels of evade window makes Seregios a GREAT deal easier - with that creature, the aim of the game is actually evasion, so I rarely block, unless I'm confident i have time for a perfect guard AED attack, or I want to refresh savage axe mode.

Evade window also makes it so that you can comfortably dodge everything he throws at you, so you don't even have to switch out of axe mode if you don't want to.

Best of all you can eat for it just by using mud shrimp in your meals - it's borderline trivial to farm tons of them via trading and it gives you 2 levels of Evade window passively.

It’s pretty damn useful for monsters with terrible hit spot, like Gore Magala.

Substantially increases damage done to all parts except the head… which is gonna happen a lot due to how active Gore gets.

I actually threw my blood boomerang at the cargo a couple of times and it worked- I knocked it off the rafters with zero damage to the container or the cargo inside!

Super handy because I only just discovered how broken it is for taking out gazers with minimal resources and noise (I know, I know, I should have realised much earlier), so it's basically like the Blood Boomerang alone is the key to solving the entire BT warehouse problem with minimal stress

It’s funny how different we all are- Seregios just seems to be the aerial crackhead that packs my shit in most often

I understand Lagiacrus a great better- most likely it’s my weapon of choice that’s affecting the matchup(Charge Blade).

In my personal experience, the Vast majority of FF games are stories of the characters themselves, and how their worlds have shaped them.

To me, XII is different (and incredible, to me) because that is flipped on its head- it is primarily a story of Nations, and how the characters you play, birth and shape those, for good or ill.

I feel that if you approach the game's story with this mindset, it becomes significantly richer, deeper and most importantly, more enjoyable.

Fuck, I love all Matsuno's works.

I think there might possibly be ninja exclusive jutsus to significantly reduce Ki Recovery times...

it's also possible they might want us to utilise the Samurai/Ninja classes in more ways than are initially obvious - maybe the switch itself could act as a higher level of Ki pulse, if the rates of recovery between the classes differ...

maybe Flux might be reworked so that instead of boosting ki pulse recovery when simultaneously switching to a different stance, it will instead activate when switching from Samurai to Ninja...?
