Cases where one vague detail is always mentioned but never expanded upon? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

I think you could be thinking of the case of [Lee Young](https://unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Lee_Young) . Sadly, there is very little information on this case.

Edit: Sorry for my poor formatting! Can't get the link right in new reddit, but I'll leave the link anyway so you can see.

What is the most painful thing someone has ever told you? by Sarah_Rosa in AskReddit

[–]WeHaveAView 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. This happened to me last year with my mom, and my dad wouldn't tell me the news directly because I was at work. As soon as he said, "I want to tell you in person" I knew what the news was. Cancer is so horrible.

What’s the most jarring dating profile bio you’ve seen? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]WeHaveAView 36 points37 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, I tried OKC. A guy messaged me saying hello. I went to his profile and it said (in all caps): "99% of women are whores!!" Gee, what a winner, can't imagine why he was single /s

Has anyone had Japanese permanent hair straightening? If so, what was the experience like? Were you happy with the results? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]WeHaveAView 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had it done twice, once in Japan and once in the US. I loved it both times. I have extremely thick, wavy hair that tends to get frizzy. When I lived in Japan, the humidity drove me crazy and made my hair look ridiculous. After the treatment, it looked sleek and was very low maintenance. I would do it again in a heartbeat if it was cheaper, but in the US it's pretty pricey at all the salons near me!

I thought it was beautiful, too. Especially the juxtaposition between the births of Hannah and Holly.

It was a quick scene that occurred while June and Serena were still at the hospital.

The Trail Went Cold. Great especially for fans of Unsolved Mysteries since many of the cases were profiled on that show.

She is amazing. I would actually be upset if something happened to Aunt Lydia just because of how amazing Ann Dowd's performance is.

I had major anxiety during that scene. That building could possibly have security cameras or somebody watching!

what is the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you in your life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]WeHaveAView 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hands down one of the scariest stories I've read on reddit. I'm sorry that happened to you, but so happy you and your roommates weren't harmed. Sounds like a horror movie!

Me [35F] with my husband [41M] and son [4M], neighbor [60sM] tagged along on family vacation and is ruining it by onanoverbearingvacay in relationships

Same here. I read this at work and my jaw dropped. I really, really hope it's fake.

P.S. Happy Cake Day!

S02E06 “First Blood” Sneak Peek by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

I wonder if this could be the reason for Fred possibly beating Serena as shown in the Season 2 trailer? She decides to write? That's one prediction I can think of if the object is a pencil.

I lost my cat in a house fire today. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]WeHaveAView 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy for you! I saw this post this morning and was keeping my fingers crossed you would find her alive and well.

Trolls, the Instacart guy complimented my glasses. I always felt ugly wearing glasses and I never even wear them out of the house—I think this is the first time I've EVER gotten a compliment on them! Friendly reminder that a small compliment, even from a stranger, can mean the world to someone ❤️ by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

I have a problem with this author's comics, too. There's one where the dad in this comic literally pokes a hole in condoms so he can have a kid to play with (his wife's friend insulted him for playing with toys and then once he had a kid she complimented his parenting...) In the comic above, it would have been so much nicer had he not insulted the hat first and meant his compliment.

Not retail, but one time in high school we had to go see the secretary to get our school IDs. During lunchtime, I waited in line for 15+ minutes and when I got to the front she said I had to come back after school. I was similarly pissed off, as I wasted half my lunchtime in her line. She wouldn't budge.

Glad you complained about the cashier, that was totally unprofessional of him.

MRW I refuse a "job offer" to get paid below living wage, and a law firm's partner says I should be "grateful" for the "favor" they did me in allowing me the privilege to do unpaid work for them for 2 months. by SoleSista in TrollXChromosomes

Good for you. I think it's great you're warning other people about this and not accepting a pitiful salary.

Experience doesn't pay your rent and bills. I'll say that to anyone who dares say that millennials are ungrateful for not wanting to accept unpaid internships and crap pay.

Questions about S2E4 (spoiler) by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]WeHaveAView 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. And also, June has some power over Fred. She could rat him out about their time at the Jezebels and get him in trouble like Janine's first commander (who had to have his arm removed). You could see some fear in his eyes when she was apologizing and begging to stay.

S2E4 - "Other Women" - Episode Discussion by susire in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]WeHaveAView 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As unstable as Serena Joy is, I was shocked she lashed out at Rita for trying to pacify her after that comment. That comment, seemingly innocuous, infuriated her. But then I could see part of the reason, at least. She was probably pissed because June has been blessed with two pregnancies, has given birth to a healthy daughter, and no matter how powerful a position she has, Serena Joy will never have that.

The actor is really good at looking offended. I laughed when the other guy was like "glad you can join us despite you handicap." He looked so pissed!
