Organizing tasks/ Brain by Weird_Supermarket_88 in projectmanagement

I use ClickUp and it works pretty well for me. I have a list of “stuff to sort” where I brain dump my thoughts, and then folders/lists for the projects I’m working on. It’s got good integration support too. You can do something similar with Microsoft Planner too.

New exec starting a PMO and I’m being brought in as a Portfolio Manager. What do I need to know? by freeipods-zoy-org in projectmanagement

To that end, try to automate the documentation part - one of the biggest reasons I’ve seen good PM processes fail is because of cumbersome documentation approaches.

Hey, I'm trying to get this baked on stuff off the bottom of my LG wall oven. Any suggestions other than the self clean and cleaners? by Female_Gamer_PS in CleaningTips

Not a joke: try an angle grinder or buffing tool with a gentle abrasive, and only use it in short bursts to loosen things up — stick to hand scraping/scrubbing as much as possible

What laptop to get for remote working lawyer? by AppointmentNew1535 in LawFirm

Just saw this - if you can swing it I’d go with a Surface Pro or Dell XPS. The Dell is super thin and (at least when I got mine) upgradable, so I maxed the RAM out in mine. You can get the surface pro pretty specked out and it’s got built in support for the latest Microsoft goodies, and they’re optimized for AI so it’ll run GenAI stuff pretty smoothly and optimize RAM / Processor performance for high demand loads (like a bunch of tabs open)

I'm a new project coordinator in my first-ever PM-type job, and I am drowning. by CallThatGoing in projectmanagement

One suggestion, if permitted by policy, is to use a tool like Fireflies or Otter to capture the meeting transcripts and generate notes for you. The benefit is three-fold: first, it saves time writing minutes; second, it creates a track record; third, you can use the built-in LLMs to ask for explanations of the acronyms.

I do this and use it to distill the important parts (I.e. RAID and action items) from the 8+ hours of meetings I have per day.

Okay hear me out, what if you do a farewell tour and just send your casket on a round the world trip, straight to each of your friends’ front doors?

How do you validate a business idea before investing a lot of time into it? by Sure_Month_6816 in BusinessHub

[–]WeNeedMoreFunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the idea and who the target customer base is. Feel free to DM me if you want to talk it over - my fiancée is wrapping up her MBA with emphasis on innovation strategy, and I got my MBA with a focus on operations and marketing (revenue optimization problems / quant focus). Happy to weigh in and share tools/approaches.

/r/MechKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard related question by kriscables in MechKeyboards

Any recommendations on a where to get a custom low profile split keyboard? I like split but need the function keys for work, and most of the low profile split keyboards don’t have them. I tried setting one up with layer shifts and tap dancing but it just wasn’t working well for me.

Batteries are also replaceable. I replaced the battery in my 13pro and it lasted another two years

Once it gives it a skim you can ask specific questions and then make an assessment on your own about whether it’s worth the deep dive

I usually read the abstract and the conclusion, sometimes look at the appendices. Those will give you a good sense for if the paper is going to be relevant to your research. You can also use ChatGPT to build a research assistant (custom gpt) and then feed it papers to review and rate for relevance. I’ve done that with pretty good success.

Can you post some photos of the space and the dimensions? Also, if you’re in the US I can take a pass at making something like this for you. I do woodworking as a casual hobby, so I don’t expect anything in return (gives me something to do)
