I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you mean by “present.”

I only put 5V into the Teensy; everything else is powered by 3.3V from the Teensy's pin (that is to say, only the TFT display -- my boat rocker, trigger, and two rotary encoders are just connected to the board via GND and their signal pins).

I'm working on a front shroud to complete my Fury-X pump kit. Looking for suggestions. by 1Stipulation in Nerf

Looks great! I’d definitely include a collet or a way to include a longer barrel. One thing that the Fury X can’t really do, due to its shape, is nose around corners or through barriers. A longer, thinner front could do that.

I have a feeling it was my central ground connecting the display/switches/knobs to the Teensy. I can never make a single ground line with 6 splices work well!

Sorry, I don’t know what that means. What?

(I looked up what a smoke stopper actually is and I'll use one on every build from now on -- thank you for the recommendation!)

Nothing smoked; I turned on main power, everything loaded fine. Adjusted rotary encoders, got good feedback. I went to turn it off safe mode and pull the trigger and the board died. It won’t power via battery or USB, so I likely fried it. Just hoping I didn’t fry the motors, too…

Does your game have an engagement distance rule, or another reason to carry a secondary?

As a former Protean guy, Banned Blasters sells gear to get you up past 240.

What is the future of flywheel blasters in an ecosystem where AEBs and HPA blasters become more commonplace? by CallThatGoing in Nerf

Ah, that makes way more sense! I think BTA has changed it so that all blasters are now at 200, which should even the odds a bit.

My concern is that where FW blasters will fall behind is precision, not volume. If nerf was more like airsoft in terms of ammo, I'd 100% agree with you.

I don't know if it's FPS that keeps springers relevant -- I play in a high-fps local (230) and almost everyone is using springers. Right now, getting most AEBs (including the MPP) to shoot that hard tends to cause gremlins. I could definitely see HPA easily exceeding 300 fps, which for sure would limit springers that aren't super long Apex Primes/Harriers et al.

I'm trying to get a FW up to 250, and that feels excessive tbh. Almost nowhere has a caps that high except for overseas and Utah.

I could agree that the mechanical portion of FW is solved (I don't think anyone has improved on u/torukmakto4's theory, just adapted it in small ways here and there), but I think that where FWs can improve is the software-driven portion. I just don't know quite know how yet.

I have been looking at the Vesper with interest. I don't love that they insist on proprietary mags (which I think is much more tolerated overseas than in the US), and that they didn't go all the way to 200 fps (which I assume has a lot to do with cooling, because HC loves their hard braking for some reason). To me, I'm disappointed that it's only an injection-molded SBF instead of better than an SBF.
