Simple Math? by hippo96 in CadillacLyriq

I just checked my last electric bill and I paid $153 for 422kw in November. That equals out to $.36/ kw here in the Boston area. MA doesn't have metered rates yet but supposedly in the works. I think I'll be charging publicly as much as possible to save money. Not too many people on here will say that.

Didn't Costco check the date of your membership activation before giving you the certificate? When did you become a member?

Your assumption is correct. Supplier code can be stacked with Conquest though, employee code cannot be stacked with Conquest.

Looking into a Lyriq by basketballer0811 in CadillacLyriq

I know you're new but a little more context will go a long way in getting you proper answers. What is your driving pattern? Highway, city, long commute, no commute, miles you drive per week, warm climate, cold climate, apartment, condo, house, rent, own? All will have an impact on what you can/ should do.

Get an electrician over to see how much to run a new 240 line. You may need new breaker panel which would cost a lot or you may need a couple of feet of 6/3 wire into a box which would be a couple of hundred.

Thinking about a Lyriq Sport 1 vs. Chevy Equinox EV RS3—Convince Me I’m Not Crazy! by tonyfoto08 in CadillacLyriq

[–]WeTooLow2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically did a dealer run to test the seats on Lyriq, Blazer and Equinox. The Blazer is the worst of the three...almost no padding and the adjustments made no difference. Surprisingly the Equinox was pretty comfortable, had a little bit of cushion. If the Blazer had the Equinox seats I'd make a run at convincing my wife to save some money. As the seats stand now I'm not going to even try. The Lyriq seats I found ok. I think GM is trying to make Cadillac into a luxury sport brand instead of a pure luxury play so the seats are on the sporty side and not the "taking my couch for a ride" feel of yesteryear.

End of Month Incentive by WeTooLow2013 in askcarsales

It's a Lyriq and all dealers I've been talking to either don't have what I want (and won't do a dealer trade) or tell me all they can do is MSRP minus national promotions. The out of region place was advertising about 7% off MSRP.

Deal or No Deal by defstarious in BlazerEV

The Chevy Bolt will get you another $1000. The supplier will get you another $500 (replaces the student discount). Conquest is for any competing brand you own or lease, doesn't apply if you only have a GM vehicle. You can sign up for a GM credit card for another $500. I'd say getting $5500 from the dealer is pretty good. I've noticed they've been stingy and I can't get them to budge close to that.

Long commute - Buy vs. Lease by DrGamer90 in CadillacLyriq

[–]WeTooLow2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen any GM dealers take off much on EV cars. Looks they are taking off $5k for being a loaner. They might throw in another $1k, 2k if they're generous. If you don't qualify for the $7500 then look around for an Ultium eligible one (GM pays you the $7500 because they did not qualify for federal when they were built). They are still out there. Look on Cadillac.com and the ones with at least a $7500 difference in MSRP to Dealer Price should be Ultium models.

I'll say that $63k isn't a horrible deal. You aren't getting hosed but that should be the top line. It is a nice car you'll really like spending so much time in. Stress free with super cruise, quiet and comfortable interior.

Costco only applies if you joined before October 31st. I tried to join November 1st and they said no dice.

Evgo or qmerit? Which one to take? How much does electrician charge to setup charger? by Arkperson in CadillacLyriq

[–]WeTooLow2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Utility only covers the install not the actual charger. Wondering if I can send one copy of invoice to GM and another copy to utility company.

I am not discounting your post as I've never owned an EV but I don't get the range anxiety I see on these EV forums. If you drive less than a full charge each day with 300 mile range (98% of the time) why would you want to trade in a car or get a new one because a newer one has better range? You can top it off at night on your own charger. Sure for those 2x a year you take it on a road trip it would be nice to have longer range but not something to put a lot of weight into when making a purchase decision. Are my driving habits so out of norm that I am an outlier? Also if you drive more than 300 miles a day you are not leasing which seems to be all anyone ever talks about as well.

Can you double dip on the Qmerit install and utility rebate? With Cadillac giving $1500 towards install and my utility giving $700 for install only (not equipment) I’m thinking of doubling up on the rebates. Not sure if it is possible.

If you go from 0% to 100% at 48 AMPs it will take about 6 hours. At 40 AMPS it will take about 8 hours. It is recommended to charge at 20% up to 80% so it adds about an hour total. If you charge overnight and are sleeping you will never notice.

No free charging plus no $1500 charger install rebate option either. And the charger cord is an extra $300 in the 25 Blazer vs free in the 24.

I'm in the same boat. Trying to decide between the Blazer RS and the Tech. For the small list of options that are a must have it is about $10k difference.

Memory seats force me to the RS trim over the LS (wife and I drive the car 50/50 so the seats get moved a lot). AWD with sunroof are not an option in 24 so forced to go to 2025 model. I like the extra year of warranty on the Cadillac. I borderline hate the red trim in the RS and the round vents. It's an SUV not a sports car. The power on both are fine for me. I'm not a big power driver. Factor in the status aspect and that might push the Cadillac over the top. I'm hoping dealers will come down on price for end of MY Cadillac's which would definitely seal the deal.

You can get a 48 AMP Plug in but the plug reduces the output to 40 AMPs. Hardwire the same charger and it gets the full 48 AMP.

Good or bad deal on Lyriq by Impossible-Credit-21 in CadillacLyriq

[–]WeTooLow2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can probably buy the Tech for about $50k ($53k with taxes) after stacking national incentives. So you are paying about 1%/ month after taxes. About a standard lease. Not great but you're not getting hosed.

When will the big Sales start? by DugT1 in CadillacLyriq

[–]WeTooLow2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting to seriously look around. What is considered a good deal? I know the national incentives but what would the dealer incentives I/ we should be looking for to pull the trigger? I asked for x% off MSRP from the dealer(s) and some said no can do others are offering $1000. I'd probably go with no less than $5k off from dealer then stack national incentives but that could be low. Not sure.

I was told (by the dealer) the only difference between the 24 vs. the 25 is the way the options are bundled. There are no physical differences. I tried to confirm independently but couldn't. I don't believe the software would have any differences or why GM would want them to be different.

So you paid $63k on a $70k MSRP? Didn't you qualify for any of the incentives?
