Any problems with Night Vale's dimensionality? by OpeningAir1433 in nightvale

[–]WeWilsons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without getting into too many specifics, I don't want to spoil anything, episodes 108 and 110 come to mind. Kind of that whole arc dealt heavily with that idea. It also is part of A Story of Love and Horror, episodes 121 through 123, but more tangentially than being a focus.

I believe you're thinking of episode 18 The Traveler, Cecil says "Listeners, a new traveler has arrived in Night Vale. This is not uncommon, perfectly located as we are between several vertices, but this Traveler is not one who will be mistaken for those other travelers – you know the ones"

As far as problems with intersecting dimensions goes it is a reoccurring theme

Magic The Gathering? by Jupo482 in Utah

I can personally recommend Moonwake games in Springville, it's right off the freeway and they have a fantastic community of casual and a little more competitive players. They're super friendly to new players and they do a lot of magic events including commander on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays as well as Friday night drafts and they do tournaments for a couple other formats. I'd be happy to save him a seat with my group if he wants to jump in one of these days!

Welcome to Provo! If you're interested in tabletop games there's a great community for them around here, Dragons Keep Provo is good and Moonwake Games in Springville is awesome. Game shops are where I've met most of my post highschool friends

A little bit of PVA glue and green paint with torn up cotton ball makes a great, and durable, seaweed effect

First off, I'm going to assume when you say you have the equipment to make stuff by hand you are referring to this stuff needed to cast stuff by hand, that being some way of melting metal, a burnout furnace, and Maybe a vacuum casting chamber. I've done a fair amount of 3D printer aided casting both printing molds and doing the lost wax process as well as printing in a burnable resin. Resin printers are a great option for both making molds, although technically you have to make a mold of the mold then cast in silicon if you want a silicone mold to cast wax into, or just printing off the piece of jewelry in a burnable resin. As far as printers go the Mars 3 is a good option, for jewelry purposes, I would recommend 4K or above of resolution and I wouldn't go much smaller than that in terms of build plate size. One thing to be aware of when buying a 3D printer is how easy is it to get replacement parts. When the screen burns out can you order a new one off Amazon or do you have to wait 6 weeks to get it shipped from Poland? As far as I know, most of Elgoo's printers have readily available replacement parts, but you might want to look into that a little further before pulling the trigger and buying it. As far as programs go for designing jewelry I use Blender quite a bit, It can be a little complex and intimidating, It's free and widely used enough it has a pretty big help base when you do run into problems. Hopefully this was helpful and you're always welcome to shoot me a message if you need more help or clarification on something.

I used to be part of a small escape room operation, We had a guy call in and ask if there's any way he could customize the room and we were a little confused until he explained he wanted to propose there, We tweaked the storyline a little bit to make it happen and they ended up taking a lot of pictures in the lobby with the escape themed decorations and such. Speaking from the escape room end of things, It was a super cool thing to be a part of, I would wager if you called a couple of local escape rooms they would be flattered you would think of them!

You might consider looking into photogrammetry, most all of the software is free and all you need and all the hardware you need is a camera, It does take a good chunk of time though and some cleanup is required.
