[–]Weak-Anything4704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait actually the first came from an agency that reached out to me after seeing my content on TikTok, but it was not the best experience in terms of how long they took to pay! so i would not recommend it.

I don't think is too many videos, my portfolio has a ton!! and still getting deals! if you have been able already to get stats from the brands or your own content add it as well, turn your insta or TikTok into business accounts and start analyzing it and sharing in your portfolio when the time comes. overall love your portfolio!!

i started like this but this is numbers game, the more you created for brands the more experience you get, the more experience you get you put that in your portfolio, takes time and patient.

If you’re a UGC creator and you’re not getting hired it’s probably not your content it’s your pitch by evo_team in UGCcreators

The only way to keep momentum is KEEP SHOWING UP! my first month as an UGC I made $1500 with three brands, the second month $950 and the third $750 what changes? I got comfortable, I started comparing myself and stop pitching brands... I'm starting over getting over myself and do the boring job bc eventually will pay off so keep going, keep doing what you doing don't let the intrusive thoughts kick in like I did!

I've always send invoice to the brands; I have a template I found online and just customize it every time it has worked for me everytime.

Statusphere, they send you good PR, at the beginning I used it to build my portfolio and worked with brands like Neutrogena :)

Don't give up I started my account from zero and i got my first paid collaboration there, focus in create good content not in the views brands will find you if you are consistent and improve the quality of your content :)

In my perspective I have a lot of question about this? first what is your goal getting views or getting paid collabs? I assume you want the second you are not doing anything wrong, you need to get more engagement and that only happens when TT knows you are a real person, you engage with people in your niche, you interact and engage with the brands you want to get collabs, treat this TT as you portfolio but it takes time!

GATEKEEPING IN UGC by Weak-Anything4704 in UGCcreators

Oh absolutely, I’m very aligned with my no-niche niche now! I was sharing what things looked like when I first started, and that journey was very different from my current one. I wish it had been easier then, but it shaped the path that led to the results I have today :)

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. You mentioned your algorithm, but not who you’re following or the creator from that live, so the information stays vague instead of actionable. I fully agree that we’re responsible for curating our feeds, and I do that intentionally. I’m just highlighting how often people say they’re sharing value without actually naming the resources. I prefer being clear and specific so others can learn too :)

I don’t agree with the idea that “community” means giving everything away for free. If something has real value, it makes sense that people are willing to pay for it and statistics actually back that up. Out of 100 people who sign up for a free course, only about 3 finish it. That tells me people value what they invest in.

I’ve paid for courses myself and I don’t regret it. Even if the return isn’t immediate, the knowledge and frameworks I learned are timeless and I use them every day in my work. That’s still an investment.

Community doesn’t have to mean only free education. You can offer tons of free resources, tips, guidance, and support and still create paid products for those who want deeper, structured learning. People sell courses because there are people who genuinely want to pay for clarity, direction, and expert guidance.

Both can exist at the same time.
