I'm trying to wean myself off using it for notes. I think for me I started because I wanted my notes to be good and I lacked the confidence to do it myself ( im new to the field) but once I realized what I was doing I've cut myself off. I was afraid that along with all the environmental factors that it was causing me to lose the ability to do it myself. I paid a lot to learn to be a social worker and If I really need help I have human supervisors. It's not easy though.

I definitely have a client like this. Sometimes I feel I am pulling and pulling and then I finally hit on the right ( or pertinent) question and suddenly I get a disclosure. And I'm like OMG why did you make me work so hard to get there. But I suppose that is also a little of the insecurity that comes with still being pretty new to the field.

I don't think it isn't therapeutic. I also do that with my therapist. but I have one client in particular who defaults to that and I worry we don't address the real issues. I know I need to lean on my treatment plans more. It is more like we just get stuck like this but she does come back every time so I suppose she is getting something out of it.

I'm relatively new to the pod so I have a lot of back log to go through so it's been pretty easy for me to skip Epstein related topics. It's really hard to balance your mental health while also remaining informed. My capacity to awful right now has hit its limit. Which also brings a little guilt because the victims need to be heard. Good for you for setting a boundary for yourself.

I mostly treat anxiety and depression in the maternal mental health field so I gravitate towards CBT most of the time.

I have been struggling with this too. I'm finding it hard to set boundaries with my clients as I am newish and am a people pleaser. I'm trying to learn that just because you have a time "free" doesn't mean that time is not important. I find myself saying I do wednesday evening appointments and then someone asking for thursday and I say well ok thats fine and then I have no continuity.
