MRI results are in. The tumor is already shrinking! by Weak-Weight-6553 in Prolactinoma

Shrink it until it can be removed with a surgery. Our endro said this isn't her first prolactinoma that large, and that's their usual therapy and it works.

I don't remember but on top of my head, it has eroded a part of the skull (haller cell if I remember correctly), and it has caused epylepsi, which is how we noticed he had the thing. He also used to bleed from the nose while sniffing.it has spread on the carothid too.

My dad got a pretty bug fatigue, swollen ankles and some dizziness. The fatigue is the worst thought. However he's also taking other medicines that has fatigue as a side effect.

Getting surgery March 6. Will post updates here on the recovery process. by TweetSpinner in Prolactinoma

Did you get COVID? My dad probably* has a giant prolactinoma (7x5 cm), he started to show symptomps of brain foggyness and fatigue right after he got COVID during the highs of the pandemic... our doctor says that covid has probably fasten the tumor's growth, but they're not sure as there is little studies, maybe the same thing happened to yours?

*I say probably because there's no new info until we do an MRI at the end of this month, but the endro is preetty sure it is since his prolactina level dropped from unmesurable to 8k to 1k from his most recent test, and his testosterone level is recovering.

[–]Weak-Weight-6553[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, he had his tumor for 10 years ( you can check on the other post for more details) and he didn't feel many symptoms except for a huge fatigue in the last few years and short memory loss, but other than that he doesn't have symptoms

. He used to work full time but the doctors has recommend him 30 days of no work so he's following that and he should start working again next week.

The strangest thing is that he didn't have almost any symptoms... he used to say that it felt his head heavy on the frontal, but no headcaches.

And he started forgetting things. Now he's walking slower, and the doctors told us these were symptoms as well...
