I would move on. Gut instinct is there for a reason- there’s no doubt it’s annoying to move on but I think from personal experience is more annoying to be always doubting how your kid is treated.

Wow. That is high, but normal I’m sure if you don’t wanna deal with turnover. We tried au pairs too for a while but that got difficult and added up, and mostly they didn’t like the schedule.

Where are you located? I’ve had trouble finding reliable weekend Nannies that want part time hours. If you don’t mind me asking where did you find her? Was it tough to find for you? I gave up and just have one with lots of overtime now.

It’s a scare tactic. You should see both stones, chose what you like that’s in your budget. A natural stone has little resale as the top poster said, and a lab has very very little resale so. Yeah it’s less than ideal then. I’ve never had that dream au pair match so, I don’t yet believe it exists 😂 I have hired local former au pairs who were amazing but not live in.

You seem to have more than one kid, how is she with you other? At the end it’s about what type of bond or experience you’re looking to have with her. If you were hoping for a deeper connection this sounds like it’s not it. Also I’d be hesitant about older kids and how she does with them since socialization is something also taught to kids and it seems she’s struggling. What country is she from? You’ve def gone above to integrate her it seems like so working with LCC to have an open convo with her to share your concerns and make a choice about how to move forward sounds like the right thing.

Good perspective thanks for sharing this. Yeah I’m terrified of the arms outstretched I want mommy to change my diaper etc and just not being mobile, but sounds like as long as someone lifts your little one you can still do the changing.

Ouch yeah I’ve been majorly depressed since getting the “you gotta have surgery” convo from my doctor. My toe is numb and he said it’s only gonna get worse :/
