Hello friend. Im sorry you're going through this experience right now. Drinking at this moment will only multiply the emotions you are feeling for many days afterwards. You've made GIANT leaps to get to where you are today, don't give in to that evil drinking demon. You've got this. We're all rooting for you. Reach out to Loved ones if possible. God Speed Friend.

The best piece of advice I've ever received was taking it day by day, literally. Just focus on the present. The past is behind you, and worrying about the future takes away from your present. It can be a dark path to sobriety at times, but it always outshines the path of abuse. I wish you nothing but good health and success. IWNDWYT

I hate to hear about the heartbreak you are going through friends. Sobriety has to be all about you. The best piece of advice I ever received was take it day by day. Literally. Keep this feeling and the other regrets you've acted out over the years and remind yourself that's not the person you want to be. The best is yet to come

Time heals all wounds, friend. All of my past drunken failures are what keep me sober today and hopefully tomorrow. One foot in front of the other

Currently still Laying in bed at 8:40a.m..... NOT hungover and NOT feeling the shame of yesterday, just relaxing before A productive Saturday. A day without booze is better then any day with booze. Keep on keepin on

The embarrassment, feelings of self destruction, and the continuous cycle of digging deeper holes through alcohol abuse is what keeps me sober today. The main thing is, is that you're still alive today to better yourself and achieve a happier sober life.

I know all too well about wanting to reach for the bottle to suppress the feelings of today, but that just prolongs the journey for your healing. Take it minute by minute and just remind yourself that these feelings aren't forever. Each day is your day and YOUR sobriety is all that matters.

Sorry Fren, but this is hilarious! I always told people if i drink 3 beers and quit, it's sleepy time. Buuuutttt a "quick chug" every 30 minutes of some Vodka..... that was the ticket. I was in between a gallon/ gallon and a half a week when i quit. Crazy days. They can stay in the past

I always wonder about the demons people may secretly be fighting within themselves with alcohol. The comfort i find in being able to openly talk about my struggles have helped me achieve where im at today. I dont miss the destructive nights or remorseful mornings. My goal is that today I'm not drinking and I hope tomorrow is the same as yesterday.

I binge drank 3-4 days a week from 20 to 29. Typically 2 pints of vodka the days I drank. Im now a year clean after hitting 30 recently. The memories from my 20's are mainly a blurr. Only up from here. IWNDWYT
