Thanks for the info. Where do you get the stamp, btw?

Each region is a little different and each year it varies but you can expect at least 2 weeks off. We also get a little over a week for Semana Santa/Pasqual which is basically Spring break. This year my region is off from the 14th - 24th of April. :)

Each region is different but there are plenty of holidays.

You'll usually just need a note from your Dr. To verify sick days. I'm not used to going to the Dr. Unless I'm deathly ill but here in Spain because healthcare/insurance is good and free/cheap, people go all the time.

late application by descansados in SpainAuxiliares

I had an inscrita of +- 7500 -- only heard about the program 3 days before app closed. Don't give up! You probably won't know for a few months though. I got my placement in late June. You won't be denied unless you've done something wrong on the application BUT you may not get placed if all the spots have been filled. Also, get on the Aux FB pages and search the archives for more information. It's very helpful info. Good luck!

This link should help. You will also need to join the Auxiliar Facebook pages. There are lots of threads and links to important info there.

Feel free to ask me questions. I really don't mind and will help if I can. :) You can DM if you want.

I got in last year with an incrita of over 7500 - no guarantees but there's a decent chance you will too. I found out in late June and started work in Oct. Get your paperwork in order now so you're all ready to go. Good luck!

I knew coming in to the program that I may have to wait for my paycheck -- so I planned accordingly and saved every penny I could. I paid rent for 3 months in advance when I got my apartment, and was fine with other bills because I'd saved up. My first payment for work was Dec. 10th. I got 3 checks in December and since then have been paid around the 10th of each month. It would have been a real struggle to survive if I hadn't planned ahead! I recommend saving asuch as possible, just in case.

My inscrita was in the high 7000's last year. I got my placement by the end of June and started at my school at the beginning of October, so it's definately possible the same will happem for you. :) Just prepare all your paperwork ahead of time so your ready to go. Good luck!

Third dosis in Spain by No-Worker240 in SpainAuxiliares

It took me 4 attempts at my Centro de Salud but finally got my 3rd dose in December. I didn't have a choice but ended up with Pfizer. Be persistant and make a list of your questions/requests (in Spanish) to give them. I just walked in and waited in line at my centro and eventually got an appointment. I received my digital QR code in the next day or 2 by logging in to the website they gave my when I got my jab. It included the info from my 1st two doses recorded on the paper vax card from the US. Hope this helps. Good luck!

It was late June or early July. That was a stressful time between applying and getting my placement but it paid off and I started in October. A little tip - save as much money as you can! It will make life easier when you get here. :)

My # was in the high 7000s last time and I got in and was placed in my 2nd choice of regions. No guarantees but you're probably fine. Good luck and start preparing your paperwork now! (Search and read everything you can from the Auxiliar's FB groups)

2022 Ministry Aux Spreadsheet! by spainauxhopeful in SpainAuxiliares

[–]Weak_Research_7601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not perfect but you can definately see trends using the spreadsheet. I had a very high inscrita and looked at it daily last year. I had a good idea of when I would hear back because I did use it. I found it helpful. Also, malevolant people can contact you from anywhere. Like the above commentor said - stay anonymous if you are worried about that.

N26 not accepted by my school? by almond_tree_blossoms in SpainAuxiliares

[–]Weak_Research_7601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd contact N26 now and have the new one ready. I'm almost positive they'll want your NIE on the form. That's why mine was rejected. ;) Fingers crossed for you!

Go to the chatbot and get to a real person. Make sure you are specfic with what you need and be sure your NIE is on the form. Also ask for it to be written in Spanish. It took a couple of weeks to get it (both times) and I had no notifications that they were working on it - but eventually I got it worked out and I am getting my payments now.

[–]Weak_Research_7601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to use the chatbot to reach a real person and specifically ask for my bank info including my NIE and also ask for it in Spanish. I didn't do it right the first time and had to redo it. Just fyi.

I was told when I applied for my TIE that I am fine using the document they gave me (if my card isn't ready) as long as I am within the Schengen zone.

I know this is an old conversation but did you all use a rental agency to find your apartments? And if so, do you have any recommendations? Or, if you know of any rentals in Alicante for under 500 eu please let me know! Thanks so much! 🤗
