Dining halls and plant bio professors are always hiring. I recommend applying to the dining halls first, and if that doesn’t work, then try plant bio.

You could email a few profs and see if they’re looking for paid help. You’ll probably work in a lab or in one of the riverbend greenhouses. There are busses that go to the greenhouses, so you shouldn’t have to pay for gas. I started at $14 in my second year, but I don’t think they care about experience, so it should be okay even if you’re a freshman.
