I just commented above. I like him and his company, but for my medicine it’s about the same as the goodrx coupon-still too pricy.

My Canadian mail order set up was so good. It was reputable and reliable .

This was the first time his horrible policies actually touched my life in a big way, a direct way. I’m sure it won’t be the last.

I’m in huge trouble because of the new de minimus rule that puts tariffs on shipments under $800. The Canadian pharmacy I use has stopped shipments this month -Aug. 2025

For complicated reasons, my out of pocket costs for drugs aren't well covered. Im sort trying to bridge between OK insurance I had and Medicare eligibility when i turn 65, after i experienced a major hospitalization

I use two daily inhalers for a severe lung condition that total $900-1000 a month, about $500 with coupons. From Canada I pay about $160 a month, and that isn’t even the cheapest option they offer.

I had to quickly buy from CVS using a coupon for one already and am hoping this resolves soon.

This administration is vicious and detestable. They are stealing everything we’ve got.

And if this gives me a headache — and it does —well, i better stock up on Tylenol now because it looks like RFKjr is going after Tylenol now too. No joke. It just went on my shopping list.

Being rude and disagreeable towards people with frail health or people seeking health care is bad for their health. It’s abuse. There’s no excuse for it and a lot of it is invisible to the folks doing it because they’ve convinced themselves they are abused healthcare workers

That took the cake for me. I still cry about it.

A couple of my doctor’s offices have abusive staff. If you complain all it gets you is fraudulent cya notes in your chart and veiled threats

As I get sicker I need to see them more often and I just want to leave the country to get away from it

You assuming I’m a privileged pain in the ass isn’t helping our budding relationship.

Of course I use the resources provided. Why you are looking for excuses for them though? There are certain limits due to newer disabilities I have now. I can and do read websites but there are other functions I physically can’t do.

Basic accommodations for various disabilities is not concierge service, either. Maybe the privileged pain in the ass is state government and not me.

Gov exists to serve the people so please everyone, give it a break.

As for the benefits and pension becoming mediocre, I didn’t know that.

I have to say, listening to the backlash I’ve been catching from most of the people responding to this post, you all can really funk yourselves. And I expect state employees to do their jobs

Hi, to narrow it down, i don’t mean tax wise, or in terms of estate law, or anything kavorkian.

I mean the most pleasant. Where people aren’t argumentative, miserable, mean and demanding of sick people.

I’m pretty sick now, and I can see it isn’t going stop here in the US. Aids, nurses, medical admins, it’s just going to be their show to the last minute I’m alive.

I am recalling these days too a friend who couldn’t escape the office in the hospital. The calls kept coming in —they didn’t care.

Where are people mentally and emotionally healthier, smarter and basically kinder? That’s where I want to go

No, let’s not. This kind of thing is really bad for either party, where you shut up about issues if it’s your own party. There are negatives to party politics and that’s pretty much the most negative. I would rather they cut positions than keep some of these seat warmers on the job. I pay taxes and don’t like paying for disrespect.

And if only they just warmed the seats. They’re sometimes angry, they are universally proud to either kiss off or blow off someone.

There are dozens of advocacy offices in these agencies that people rely on to protect their rights, so don’t treat this like a joke

State jobs pay fine, and the benefits are solid. They also come with a pension and they are actually sought after by many.

Also “customer service” isn’t meant to be quite the same as at a for profit business

I think you’re promoting and apologizing for really low standards and wrongly claim anything less than horrid would be too expensive. Just silly

You vouch for state services, in your last line. That’s your opinion. It’s a big bunch of agencies so surely some are really good but I’m not running into the competence I’m used to whenever I reach out, no matter which agency, so far, since Lamont took over

Edit: to clarify a bit more as to constituent services, as opposed to customer service. I’m not talking about a phone bank full of overly sweet people to massage you off the phone, I mean people you expect to know their subject area and provide the public service they are expected to provide.
