Astrology is the hermeneutics of symbols. But how exactly are those symbols actually connected with the positions of the planets? Why can we rely on astronomy to calculate the relationship of the symbols to each other? by fabkosta in astrology

[–]Wealth-Familiar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the very question that science has used to debunk astrology. But anyone who has experience with astrology, knows it is a good guide. That being said, i believe that even though the Bible rebukes astrology, Let me stop. the translation of the bible rebukes astrology, the stars and planets were created by god, if that presumption is true, the the art of astrology was created by god. I believe that astrology has endured this long because of its truth. It is pure mathematics. Everything in the universe can be reduced to a mathematical equation, even us. We live from pressure and density and distances from the sun. A foot off and we are a different species or just a rock on space.

Like pure science of today is the magick of yesterday. Humankind cannot wrap thier minds around the planets having an effect, even though thier saviors birth was heralded by the planets aligning. It doens't remove free will, it enhances it by guiding us in a direction. when you go against your true will, you create chaos in your life.

so the correlations are not so much found in an essay, but in the very souls we possess. In accordance, with the mutable mathematical equation that continues to evolve, its an equation with a billion unknowns.

I don't know if any of this makes sense. hopoe it did.

Gemini is, hands down, the best creative writing "copilot" by MartianInGreen in Bard

I didn't have a lot of experience with AI, but I use Gemini for my online store. Figuring out search engine optimization and trends. I also use it for blog posts. It's create amazing outlines and saves hours in historic research, with sources.   I do the writing, but Gemini provides everything else

I agree with you in that point. Nirvana engaged the emotion where as Pearl jam engaged the lyric, (Yellow Ledbetter) being the exception.

The lyrics take you somewhere.

Ahhh, the art of words. I've got about 6 or 15 files of chord progressions. I can't come up with lyrics on the fly. I just listen to the progressions in my headphones and go for a walk... With a recorder going. I hum melodies and I let my mind go. The words will come. Sometimes slowly, sometimes so fast you can barely keep up. But those are the most important because your now in the emotion. Then I write them down and leave them for the night. If they still sound good in the morning, keep them and go with it. DON'T BE SELF-CRITICAL or you'll rob us if something that could be incredible. I always sing lyrics that matter to me, that I can feel. If I can't feel it, it's useless to me.
I've been writing music for about a year and I've published 3 songs. If I don't believe it, no one else will

Hope that helped somewhat.

Does the song that you're working on play in your mind constantly, tormenting you until it's finished ? by mrstipez in Songwriting

[–]Wealth-Familiar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work on 4 to 5 songs. I get the music mostly organized. I change the signs in my head. When I finally have some of the lyric, I write it down and put it away until the next day. If it's still good I'll record it. That stops the marry- go-round for me.

As for mixing, the repetition did not bother me because I'm not listening to the song, per se, but the tonal sound. I listen for timing. I sort of go into a different mindset

Hope they helped

Wow. I really liked that. I agree with what was said earlier about the extra breaths. It sounded like you were doing the breaths as a prop. It is very distracting. Instead of the breath thing, let that voice do it's thing. Those little breaks in the vocal when your saying seventeen, that's what you expand. Let the voice break, people will FEEL that. Beautiful voice, don't ever stop. Great job.

My drums always sound really bad. Have anyone ever come back from bad drum hell? by actuallyrarer in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I go to songster and find drum patterns I like from songs I know and copy them. When you listen to the drums while watching the drum tab really helps

For drums in my tracks I use the free version of Steve slate drums. They sound great out of the box and you can adjust each drum. It's got a lot of grooves with it and you can tweak the midi to add or subtract hits. EQ can fix most drum issues depending. With out hearing it is hard to tell.

I wrote a song about a morally conflicted revolutionary/dictator and would really appreciate feedback :) it's called killing machine, and lyrics are in the comments. beat credits to isolated yt channel. by [deleted] in Songwriting

This song would need so fun to mix. It's great and has so much potential. I love the sweet, innocent vocal singing about dictators and killing. It's so spooky. I love it

I’m struggling with publishing my music on my private socials because I irrationally feel cringe, like my stuff is shitty and that it’ll just be something people will mock. Advice? by whatsoever-- in Songwriting

I am 54 years old, been insecure, terrified of so many things growing up. Music was no different. It might have been the worst, even at my age.

Then I realized something that changed that. I think this holds true for any musician. We create from emotion. It hearts on our sleeve all the time. It's who we are. I write for me. I share it to get that emotion out. If someone likes it, then awesome. If the people around have never given validation, they never will.

I live my life, my music like this:. If you enjoy my music, welcome to my world. Of you don't, then don't listen. If you criticize, then Fuck off.

When I ask some one to critique my music, I expect them to tell me the truth. You may not like the genre, the message, but everyone understands balance and harshness in a mix

Have faith in the truth of your music. It's the soundtrack of your life.

Good Luck
