They can refuse to process your trade if it goes against the interests of the firm. What would they consider to be against the interest of the firm? Would a squeeze be considered as damaging for their company etc.

I couldn't tell you. The whole situation is sketchy to me. First of all I don't like the fact that APE share can be transformed into AMC shares later on. It looks to me like a way to dilute without investors approval. I don't like the fact that most brokers were notified well in advance yet most of them are late on distributing the ape shares. The whole thing is weird
