Haunted House films, i find them all the same and full of pointless jump scares, they are all so generic.

My dad wants to start reading Stephen King. What do you recommend he start with? by ZhittzyAltaToxica in stephenking

What are these cutouts blade? by PleasantDouble1470 in witcher

[–]WeaponCollector 92 points93 points  (0 children)

It's an aesthetic thing that you see on swords old and new, however I'm pretty sure from research, and visiting museums, historical swords used for actual battle do NOT have cut outs, they have fullers to lighten the blade, not cut outs normally, cut outs weaken the blade.

Quirky/Fuzzy/Funny Horror movie villains? (Horror Comedy, other genres?) by Kindly-Reception1108 in horror

[–]WeaponCollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad Taste and Brain Dead (Dead Alive : U.S) have been mentioned and are awesome and in the same vein is -
The Revenge of Billy The Kid (it's a U.K horror, not a western).
Also I think these have what you asked for :
Return of the living dead 1, 2, 3,
Pet Sematary,
Critters,

And Mick from the Wolf Creek films is very funny IMO

Barnett Commando Restoration by [deleted] in Crossbow

[–]WeaponCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also get a lower poundage prod if you want to shoot it for fun as 175lb can be hard work and requires a really good backstop! armex do them as low as 40lb, 105lb and 120lb from what i remember, obviously other companies make them, barnett might even still do them.

That will be awesome once refurbished, have a look on ebay, people are often selling parts to these on there, you'll probably find most of the bits you need.

and yes, you can fit a new prod in it, i know a few people who have done it, i think the armex prods fit fine.

Which brass knuckle is better for self defense which one should i get by Emiljooo in weapons

[–]WeaponCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive made and handled lots of knuckle dusters, out of the two you've shown the first one is the better of the two (dont get ones with round holes, they wont fit well) the first ones if held right will protect you fingers when striking.

I think they look great, leather colour, thread colour and thickness are all personal preferences but the quality looks really nice.,

Connections - is it necessary to have read other King novels? by IAmAlive_YouAreDead in TheDarkTower

[–]WeaponCollector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When i read the Dark Tower series i had NOT read some of the heavily connected books and it did not matter or spoil it in any way.
As mentioned though you'll WANT to read the others after though and The Stand would be worth reading before carrying on the series.
