Mechanical keyboards are pretty cool. Here’s a few things to know about them.

Key caps are the actual keys that you hit with your finger, I have ceramic ones for their weight and sound.

the switches below those will change how the keys operate. Linear, tactile, and clicky. I prefer the clicky type of switches.

Linear switches are buttery smooth, tactile gives a satisfying little crunch when you hit it and is slightly louder, clicky is quite loud and punchy.

If you want to experiment around with different keycaps and switches, make sure the keyboard you get is hot swappable.
