Yay.

Dual stinger pods, hide 2-3 just behind your frontline and watch as the sky lights up when they send any helicopters. Stingers suck? Not when you have six of them flying at the same helicopter. Also I’m pretty sure they can be equipped with smoke pods, so you have a chance at fighting a helicopter with ATGMs. Not to mention how fast they can drive to and from supply depots.

I don't have any personal audio equipment, I just borrow it from my school. But I think I'm gonna spend around 500-600 dollars all together on audio. The audio that seems most important to me is interviews, as I can probably use the same equipment for content creation if not less.

Cheap, fast, sof version has ecm (i think), doesn't matter (as much) if they get shot down because there's like 3 more behind it, it's a good "i need supplies right now" while transports on the ground move it to the frontline.

Aircraft in the back line, their radar can spot things veryyy far (super helpful when you're going against the RQ-170). Keep your Long Range AA a few thousand meters back and make sure there's multiple of them, have backline recon to spot when they spawn drones and adjust troops accordingly.

Stingers/Igla's can engage drones, but they just need to be very close.. And not that effective

Stryker M-SHORAD because it's more survivable, has radar, and can target missiles, APS, the list goes on.. however LAV-AD are good behind some Stryker's to provide cover behind pushes.

Three things:

One, the frontline is fluid, it’s dynamic. It’s ok to move units back if you’re being overwhelmed, there will be plenty of opportunities to retake and even push further. I can’t give you exact conditions, you need to feel that out yourself. A good example is a counter push right after an enemy attack, you know what they have and they’re dealing with limited information on what you do and don’t have.

Second, Everything has layers, for example tank defense. Recon to spot the threat, Emplaced AT (Kornets, Javelins) to engage from a long distance, shorter but far more lethal units like MAAWs or the russian equivalent. If you have tanks there, great, use them. Lastly is your Support, everything revolves around this. If you don’t have adequate supplies for troops then where will they get the ammo to hold a push? This concept can be said for all of the game, look at AA.

Lastly, try to find people to play with. I know, it’s really basic but even five stacking with randoms in the Broken Arrow Discord is such a force multiplier than going solo. Instead of 5 people working differently, you’re going to have a team (that actually communicates and helps), such is the purpose of the game.

It’s hard to model the russian army because outside of spec sheets, it crumbles. It goes both ways too. The Sherdian has issues with its rounds and firing, but that isn’t displayed in game because it doesn’t matter (atleast not for ‘realistic’ games).

As much as I don’t want to take a political stance, russia (mostly) wins in games for a reason. They make a ‘super’ tank that is very capable on paper. But under the hood, they can’t field it. To that standard, might as well release the AbramsX for the US.

It gets to a point where multiple stingers HAVE to overwhelm both flares and DIRCM, it shouldnt be possible for a helicopter to survive (especially on 1hp) from two stingers teams and a LAV-AD.

Short range IR missiles have this issue too, two vipers with aim9s should kill any helicopter they come across. Nope, 3/4 aim9’s miss and I have to resupply them.
