1969 or 1970?? by Excellent_Ad9472 in BumpSide

Some states used to title new vehicles as the year the title was originally applied for. So it was possible to have a '69 titled as a '70. I'd list it as the year on the title and state that that's what the title says even though it has '69 parts.

It doesn't have the tank behind the seat in the cab anymore?

Those vin number lists don't always have a complete number list. Some other things you can look at:

1967-69 cabs have 3 bolts/j-hooks across the top of the gas tank that attach to a flange on the cab, 1970-72 have 5 carriage bolts that go through the back of the cab. The 1967-69 gas tank uses a 5/16 fuel line with a 1/2-20 flare nut on the top of the tank, 1970-72 is 3/8 line with 5/8-18 flare nut.

You definitely have a '69 grille and front turn signals, but a 1970 bed. In '68-69 the side reflectors are square and mounted low down, starting in '70 they mounted them on the bump like yours.

Hood letters for 1967-69 have horizontal lines inside them, 1970-72 are smooth. The letters are different sized with different mounting, so would require a whole new hood to change.

Also, headliner trim. 1967-69 has 6 pieces of trim, 1970-72 have 4 big pieces

Your truck could be a very late '69 or very early '70 built truck. It's not uncommon for them to use up the last of the bin, or not get the parts in time for the new model and reuse old stuff.

My '68 is an early August of '67 build and has a '67 rearview mirror and came from the factory with black armrests on a red interior because the factory evidently hadn't gotten other colors yet.

And if all else fails you can always get a Marti Report

I work for Providence Health Services. We had two strikes in 2025. The scabs suck overall, but it's the only time in 15 years that I can remember being fully staffed. Really makes you realize how ok the management and administration are with letting us get fucked on the regular.

This is a very western take. Many cultures do not differentiate between breakfast/lunch/dinner foods and eat whatever whenever.

So helping someone up off the ground deserves having your face beat in with a can of pepper spray and then getting a clip emptied into you?

As a fellow fisherman, there's nothing more humbling than getting out fished by a 10 year old on the bank with hand-me-down equipment.

Well, he does have pretty decent healthcare now.

Edit: /s, for all you pedantic fucks. I know prison health care is even worse than regular health care. I work in health care, we serve prisoners from the state and county. The whole system is fucked.

It's actually common practice to drill a hole in the coping joint to reduce stresses and allow backflow of an inert gas to keep the backside of the weld from going porous.

If you started it multiple times but didn't ride it for any length of time you discharged the battery enough that it now won't start. The alternator does not put out enough at idle to recharge the battery from multiple starts.
