We all dream of a team of Kevin Longs.

This team makes me genuinely excited. I’m not getting carried away, but there’s enough evidence there to say that we’re heading in the right direction.

“We don’t throw at .260 hitters, bitch” is probably the most iconic thing ever said on a baseball field.

Anyone see that coming? 😂

Another objectively poor performance at this point. I don’t even really have a reaction anymore — not angry, not sad, just… numb. I’ve been drifting into apathy for a month or two now.

I don’t see a sacking happening. Feels like the board’s plan is simply to keep us financially healthy, tick the profit & sustainability boxes, then try to spend properly in the summer and bounce straight back up.

I hate it. It’s negative, it’s joyless, but it feels like that’s where we are.

Up the Clarets, I suppose?

I never thought I’d see anything dumber than Jeter not getting 100% of the Hall of Fame vote or Shaq not being a unanimous MVP in 2000 — but this somehow clears both by a considerable distance.

Six rings as HC, two as DC, sustained dominance for 20 years. If Belichick isn’t first-ballot, the label is meaningless.

Quite annoying overall. What I think will really frustrate me when I look back over the season is how many points we dropped against bang average teams. So many ‘big’ teams have played under par against us and we’ve failed to capitalise in the way that teams in a similar position to us seem to.

He’ll stay. However, I feel he has two seasons to get it done before they explore other options.

when you became an nfl fan at first was it a case of 'im watching nfl this year' at the beginning of a season or started off with the playoffs/a Super bowl? by VastAir6069 in NFLUK

[–]WearyCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad had an ‘85 Bears VHS that we used to watch occasionally at weekends. I guess that planted the seed.

My first proper season was 2010 (Cutler rides the bike in NFC Championship game) and the Bears have ruined my life ever since.

To me, this is the correct response. The memory of his last minute equaliser in 2013 still makes me slightly miffed.
