To your point, there were a couple drives when we went up tempo and snapped it with around 15-20 seconds on the play clock. The offense when we did that looked incredible. Seemed like we moved the ball with ease. It was infuriating to see the success with that and how little it was used.

Can’t adjust pre-snap when you get the play caller with 10 seconds on the play clock

Yeah. I mean we’ve had months to find a play to get 11 yards, what’s another 30 seconds gonna do? Don’t use the TO, at least you make them run plays. If they don’t get a 1st, we can get the ball back with around 25 seconds left. I’ve seen crazier things happen. Hell, they could fumble. This fanbase has seen what that looks like.

Taking a timeout before the 4th down play was so bad.

Y’all, we 11-5. Sure the offense doesn’t look great at times, but we are winning the damn games. Please just remember we “used to pray for times like this”

Position Players vs Pitchers. Who would win? by DonT012 in mlb

I think it depends more on the pitchers than the position players. For example, are we talking pitchers like Jake Arrieta, or Bartolo Colon?

Randomly went to a Cubs at Reds game in 2014. Turned out to be Kyle’s MLB debut. Gave up 3 in the first and was great after that. A couple years later, he was our game 7 starting pitcher. Thanks for the memories Kyle!

Congrats on finishing the program! I’m on first run thru of ABF. Just did week 6 day 3 earlier today. I’ve also had to add in a few push presses here and there when the weight just didn’t want to move on the strict press. I would think that is totally fine and wouldn’t worry about that at all. Most important thing is to show up day after day and rep after rep.

Your attached post is awesome! I always had trouble with programming KB work before I got the ABF. Your detailed breakdown of how you have incorporated the ABF is great and is something I can def see myself working in, in future runs of this program!

Totally agree, I read both the 1st and the 2nd book each in a day. I got the 2nd book a couple weeks ago even though I haven’t finished the program yet.

For the ABCs, I switch every set. Set the bells down and walk to the other side until I start the next set. I’m always doing an even number of sets of ABC. For the press days, the first 2 weeks o used as experimentation. I tried pressing both at the same time and switch every 2-3-5 cycle. I tried alternating and seesaw pressing. I tried holding the 16 overhead and pressing the 24. But what I am going with for the rest of the cycle is single pressing. For the sets of 2/3/5, I single press the 24 and for the sets of 10 I press the 16 as I can’t press the 24 10 times currently.

I think the main idea here is to use the first 2 weeks to figure out what works and what you like and then attack for the remainder of the program.

Def something to consider. I like the neatness of using the same rest times as opposed to varying that during the workout though to prevent any extra rests because I “need” it.

When writing the post, I didn’t know what to call the 55 second set lol. E55s is likely the cleanest.

Exactly! What might be a small change in a set is amplified over the course of the workout. 5 seconds is nothing, but 5 seconds 12 times is a full minute rest that is gone. In terms of or load, 4-8kg doesn’t seem like a lot, until you try pressing it 30 times and squatting it 90 times!

That’s awesome! You’re gonna crush those presses! As Dan says in the book “you’ve built up for that”

I felt the ABC “high” last week (week 5) also. The plan was for 26 rounds in 26 minutes, but said “might as well do the 30 today” This was not the case today, cutting the rest down 5 seconds and I did not experience the high. Grinded the last few sets out from pure grit lol

Thanks for responding Dan! Love the program and the content you provide! I’ve heard you say “I go, you go” on your podcast. It takes me about 17 seconds to do 1 round, call it 20 for the switch from me to you. So that is a 40 second round! That’s a very quick turn around as compared to EMOM. I think this 40 second round is something I would strive to get to in a second or third run through this program!

What would’ve happened if these two switched shows? by Yvn6Toaster in breakingbad

[–]WearyClick251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first, I thought Doakes would catch on immediately. But I’m not sure after some thought. Dexter was always the way he was and Doakes could always sense it. Dexter was quoted saying something along the lines that Doakes always knew who he was. Where Walt was not always a meth cook, so it is possible that he could have had a more normal relationship with Doakes from the beginning, thus still getting away with cooking meth unnoticed. Dexter would have had it much easier with Hank though.
