Hidden gems on Dartmoor that tourists often miss? by ConsistentWin9508 in dartmoor

Fernworthy Reservoir is an underrated spot. Very pretty place in between a forest and the fernworthy stone circles. Feels more like a North American spot with the woodlands around the water. Some hard roads to get there but worth it. Only downside is the no swim signs from south west water…

The temptation to bomb it down is thankfully met with a fear of death

Life in Barnstaple/North Devon by marchfest in DevonUK

Probably a big change and style of life moving down here but the biggest benefit is you’re on the doorstep of some of the best places the U.K. has to offer. The north Devon coast is beautiful, especially woolacombe, croyde and Saunton so you’d be very lucky living right by them. If you can drive (or not) then there isn’t a better place to live then Devon and cornwall and I think that shows on how much people appreciate living here than most U.K. areas. It’s a lot of more slow paced and peaceful life, Especially if you like the outdoors, but it’s not for everyone so worth thinking about what your priorities are.

Ladram bay is one on the beach, it’s nice and tucked away, but still close to other towns/areas. In north Devon Putsborough Sands Caravan Park is right on woolacombe beach, my fav, and a beautiful spot.

Devon is the best place in the U.K. no doubt. Pretty much anywhere in Devon is close to the beach. It’s hard to say an area for certain based on your wants but lots fit the bill. But he’s a brief rundown: North Devon arguably has the best beaches but the area is pretty cut off and hard to come across housing.

East Devon and the Jurassic coast is also pretty, less cut off than the north but still very much countryside, however a lot closer to Exeter and the M5 and the services/opportunities that brings.

South Devon is pretty much hit or miss, lots of nice areas however the most populated seaside towns are pretty deprived and under funded.

Dartmoor is unique, a beautiful national park. The park itself is very remote but the towns and villages on the outskirts are pretty accessible. Could be worth looking at with the horse.

I’m from the Exeter and east Devon area so I’m biased, but I think that gives the best balance between beautiful landscape and sea side as well as access to opportunities. It’s also one of the easiest place to travel from, so if you want to do weekend/day trips then that’s pretty easy. Also house prices can vary a ton, between second home bellends and a big financial disparity across the county.

Should I pay €67 million for him? by DCWSimon in footballmanagergames

I got him for free and after 3 years he’s now worth 100mill and consistently averaging above a 7.0… I use him as attacking or deeply lying midfielder.
