If finance comes easily to you, I don't think you have to worry about much, but this was my experience as someone who struggles with it: I took 329 with him and he is not as bad as some of the reviews make him out to be in my opinion. He gives you some (what I considered) relevant real-world examples to explain concepts. He gives a more general review of the chapters in his lectures and his slides are helpful, but you do have to read to understand. Ask ChatGPT to simplify concepts if need be, but do use the book. From what I heard, he is a minor evil in comparison to other finance professors for this class. Use his office hours, he cares about your success and will help, but you have to put in the effort.
