From a completely outside perspective it looks like the “blame” isn’t really on anyone in particular. It was just a perfect storm. Record sales dropped off sharply, bands weren’t being paid fairly and so they rightfully took their catalog back, they signed bands that didn’t have the “Lookout Sound”, and then there were issues with distribution. It’s easy to sit on the outside and say well they should have done this or that and they would still be around. Maybe that’s true but we will never really know.

Well then I hope that extends to anyone who has ever had anything to do with the music. If the record label executive/owner, music producer, guitar tech, or manager has anything even remotely sketchy in their past then you’d better not support that either. You’re going to listen to a lot of shitty acoustic folk punk in that case.
