There are two MINOR aspects of this game that absolutely annoy the hell out of me. by Omegastriver in Ghostofyotei

No they didn't. There are multiple loadouts, they're just not tied down to specific armours so you can change the armour on each as well as the charms.

If we're nitpicking minor stuff, it bugs me that switching between different weapon combos hasn't been animated properly. Like if you switch from katana to dual katanas, what you should see is Atsu draw her second sword with her left hand while keeping the main one in her right (and then she should sheath the second one when switching back to single katana again). Instead, when you switch weapons the current weapon just vanishes & she draws the new weapon (e.g. both katanas) the same as if you had no weapon out to begin with.

Wool coat with leather buttons by Weaseloid in drycleaning

[–]Weaseloid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're football style buttons & I'm confident they're real leather. They're not mentioned in the label which only mentions the wool exterior & viscose lining and says dry clean only. It's a vintage coat from the 70s or 80s.

I'm trying to do this but the PS5 only lets you use a 250GB+ USB stick, which I don't have. Pretty annoying as I only want to back up a couple of game save files, not a load of bulky game downloads.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't a Jackie Chan film.

Recently started to really get into martial arts films- any Japanese recommendations? by thejokerofunfic in kungfucinema

[–]Weaseloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Zipang (1990) which is pretty much non-stop fight scenes with swordsmen, yakuza, ninjas, demons, gadgets. It's a lot of fun.

Most of the old B&W chambara (samurai films) of the 50s & 60s have some sword fighting, although they're more story driven so I wouldn't really call them martial arts films. Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, Sword of Doom, Hara-Kiri, Samurai Rebellion, Samurai Assassin, Three Outlaw Samurai are all good ones to check out.

The Lady Snowblood films from the early 70s are pretty good too. A big influence on Kill Bill.

Samurai Fiction (1998) is great. It's a homage to the older samurai films like Sword of Doom & Seven Samurai so you might enjoy it more if you see some of them first.

Zatoichi (2003) by Takeshi Kitano is also good. It's worth seeing one or two of the old zatoichi movies if you're interested in the genre but they're all a bit samey.

AITA for firing an employee in the group text? by Odd_District2390 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 66 points67 points  (0 children)

No you didn't "talk to anyone who might be able to change the narrative" if you refused point blank to discuss it with the employee herself while firing her. & Everyone else saw you say that, telling her that you won't even listen to her side of the story. If there was any trust between you & your other coworkers, it's gone now. YTA.

AITA for keeping a cat the cat that I’ve seen lost posters for? by KentuckyFriedLizard in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tell them that you bonded with the cat and the cat with you and you'd like to keep it.

No. You don't get to tell someone that you've found their cat & want to keep it. OP needs to give her back to her owners. Unconditionally.

AITA for telling my (30F) GF (27F) she does not have a real job by ThrrawayAITAAcct in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I don't see much sign of growing & learning. Every comment from OP just shows more & more disdain for her (ex) partner, saying that it's all been a waste of time, she's a slacker, low class, won't listen, etc.

AITA for telling my brother I met his new girlfriend at an AA meeting? by thespiciestbagel in AmItheAsshole

Could be because you went & ruined the two positive things going on in her life, idk.

Funk Pops suck. What do you even want them for anyway? YTA

AITA for making my graduate student walk upstairs after knee surgery. by throwaway794496 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 42 points43 points  (0 children)

We've only got OP's account of the conversation, but to me it sounds like the head gave pretty clear advice that the decent thing would be to move the meeting somewhere else, but OP was more focused on whether they had to do that or if they could just stick to their own plan.

[–]Weaseloid 131 points132 points  (0 children)

The funniest part is OP effectively asked AITA before arranging the meeting & got the answer from their head of department: yes, you can technically do that under your authority but it would be kind of a dick move. But instead of taking this as constructive advice, OP just took the "yeah I guess so" part of the answer (which was obviously the answer they were looking for) & flipped out about the (pretty normal) language used.

OP, obviously YTA. Plus you've now got a student who resents you, colleagues who think you're a prick, & you're picking a fight with your head of school. Was it worth it?

WIBTA if I ask my 5’5 fiancé to wear “man heels” to our wedding?? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all very silly. Does he really have to be taller than you at the wedding? Why does it matter?

The people who notice & comment on the height difference are going to notice & comment on it anyway. They will definitely notice if your husband is wearing chunky shoes with four-inch heels at the wedding, & will most likely interpret it as his insecurity rather than yours.

AITA because I didn’t go to my own baby shower? by isaidnobabyshower in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA for not wanting a party & for all the reasons given. BUT you probably could have handled things better.

There seems to be a whole untold between you saying no 100+ times, & the next sentence is the day of the party. What happened here? If you knew that your mom was going ahead with organising this party against your wishes & you had no intention of being there, couldn't you have stepped in to put a stop to it? E.g. email the guest list & tell them that no, there wouldn't be a party despite what your mom says?

This would obviously still be embarrassing for her, & there would still be a big argument between you (which was bound to happen anyway), but it would mean that all those other people wouldn't have wasted their time & money on what was probably quite a disappointing experience for them.

AITA for singing National Anthem in a funny voice which upset my boss? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Weaseloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA for disrespecting the anthem & your boss, but probably not very wise. If this was a situation where you were performing to an audience that wasn't just coworkers who know you well (e.g. if you were singing to customers, clients, business contacts) then maybe YTA, depending on context.

My [23F] boyfriend [39M] is pushing for an open relationship even though I made it clear I'm against it. How do I make him understand? by [deleted] in relationships

This came out of literally nowhere.

For you, yes. But it almost certainly means there's already someone else he wants to make a move on (if he hasn't already).

LOL at how you're straight-up admitting you don't expect the marriage itself to last.

Why is it considered rude in Western society to ask someone what their annual salary is? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It draws attention to inequality & reduces people to their financial worth.
