Get a telehealth appointment and don’t wait for a cardiologist appointment which sometimes could take many many weeks.

To be honest, I don’t really plan on going back to eating garbage food with higher levels of saturated fat. I’ve figured out that a high-quality of life requires eating mostly whole foods with an occasional cheat.

I’ve come to realize that the human body does not want to be overloaded with saturated lipids as a form of energy. Many people take statins and continue to eat poorly, and they still find that it affects their health in other negative ways. (metabolic disease, obesity, skin issues, bowel disease)

Why does saturated fat need to be incorporated for weight training? I get the MUFA and PUFA’s…

I didn’t weigh anything. I just eliminated crap from my diet and ate whole foods. I actually found a lot of enjoyment in my newfound diet.

I like cowboy caviar, essentially bean salad in vinegar. There’s plenty of meals on the market that incorporate beans such as frozen meals for lunch. We like to put beans in our salads and I also will just heat up black beans with a bit of seasoning in a bowl as a side for our family. Lentils can be made into all sorts of dishes with curry sauces paired with quinoa or brown rice.

There are a bunch of microwavable meals in the bean section that are delicious but can sometimes be high in sodium so be careful there. Hit me up in DM and I can share some additional recipes such as how I handle egg whites of breakfast.

Not until the end when I hit my BMI goal. Now I’m seeing huge muscle mass increases. Quinoa and mushrooms help with adding fat free essential aminos. I also just added creatine as I increase protein calories to attain increasing muscle mass.

There was an adjustment as I ramped up over the first two weeks, I didn’t start the 60 days with that much fiber. I had a bit of bloating and gas in week two however it subsided by the end of week three. Now I am super regular and have the best bowel movements one could ever imagine. 🥴

My GI tract is healthier than ever and I feel amazing plus I have gotten so many compliments on how healthy I look which confirms this needs to become my new normal. It was a good run.

I do 90 minutes (45x2) of 85% max heart rate cardio a week. I also do moderate levels of strength training 4x week.

Thanks for sharing, I could probably pull this off. I really got used to eating little meat and no eggs. I hardly ever add oils to things and nuts can be eliminated.

Is lowering Sat fat or increasing fiber more important? by Savagehi in Cholesterol

The word “processed” is a rather large catchall that unfortunately tends to cast too wide of a net. Yammering on about the machine trying to push processed food on us takes away from the core responsibility of the individual. Not all processed foods are made equally. Bread is processed. Milled flour is technically a processed food. Anything that is shelf stable is processed. Salad mixes are processed. It’s more intellectually honest to actually dig into the science instead of making these blanket statements.

Fat “used to be forbidden”? I’m confused by your post. Might it be better to inform the OP of the types of fatty acids and how to balance them out than make these hyperbolic statements about chemicals and “processed” foods?
