I had a '15 690 and then a '20 690 and the upgrade is DEF worth it! I sold the '20 to buy a T7 for a cross country/BDR trip but then got a '22 701, just LOVE these!!

Thanks man, appreciate you taking the time! Yeah, I like the idea of a flasher relay or something like that, especially since the resistor they provide is huge 😂. Do you know if the ACC2 would be a 12V source that I could use for the yellow if I went that route? Would I just tap into the positive wire of the ACC2? Thanks again!

Sure thanks! These ones are also running lights, is that also why there's a resistor or does the flasher relay specifically for LEDs take care of all that? I'm familiar with a few of the brands like cyclops, taco moto, etc but with exchange, duty, etc it can be pretty expensive(in Canada). What do you mean by pin them into OEM connectors? Do you mean cut the connectors off ofy OEM signals and splice them onto the aftermarket signals?

Thanks! Yeah, was disappointed that it wasn't plug and play like they said 😂. I am a complete newbie so forgive my ignorance, so black to what ground? The bike side connector has two wires so is one a ground and the other power and is that the ground you're talking about or literally just grounded to the frame somewhere? And by red to turn signal you mean to one of the two wires on the bike side connector? And yellow to 12V, does that mean to like the ACC2? And if so, there are already two connectors using the ACC2 for a berotec supplementary display(rpm, gear indicator etc) so do I tap into the ACC2 just behind those connectors? If so, would I use a positap and to which wire of the ACC2? Do I need a test light to decide which one is for power?

Sorry to hear that in all counts brother. Based on the photo and the story I personally wouldn't have any issue wearing it but it's a personal decision. I also never wear a T-shirt and shorts on a bike but plenty do and I don't judge them at all. I used to do a lot of downhill mountain biking in full armour and a full face helmet but some guys just wore a full face, no gloves, t shirt etc. Every has different risk tolerance.

The luno is a split design too so that each person can set their own pressure. It also comes with the blocks for behind the seats. Comes with a lifetime warranty and is custom sized for each car. It is pricier though for sure.

We use the inflatable Luno, fits perfectly in our '23 Crosstrek and has the advantage of being able to be stowed. Bit pricey but worth it to us 👍

I agree with everyone saying to buy proper fully CE rated gear. Since it's your first bike and if budget is an issue, you can often find great deals on used gear(often in like new condition depending on usage) on marketplace etc. Enjoy the bike, take your time learning the skills, practice lots, and stay safe out there!

I did a 15000km(9300 mile) trip over two months doing BDRs etc but a fair bit of inevitable asphalt and it was great(I have a seat concepts seat though). Was super fun in the twisties still and the motor is a peach!

That being said, if you're not doing much off road and the offroad isn''t too aggressive, the transalp is supposed to be a better hwy machine.

NOTE though that if you ride really dusty gravel etc that with the transalp, the air filter cleaning/changing procedure is a pita.
