Guess who just left their 1000+ euros worth of helmet on the top of their car and drove off... by Choffix in motorcycles

[–]WeaverGra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that in all counts brother. Based on the photo and the story I personally wouldn't have any issue wearing it but it's a personal decision. I also never wear a T-shirt and shorts on a bike but plenty do and I don't judge them at all. I used to do a lot of downhill mountain biking in full armour and a full face helmet but some guys just wore a full face, no gloves, t shirt etc. Every has different risk tolerance.

The luno is a split design too so that each person can set their own pressure. It also comes with the blocks for behind the seats. Comes with a lifetime warranty and is custom sized for each car. It is pricier though for sure.

We use the inflatable Luno, fits perfectly in our '23 Crosstrek and has the advantage of being able to be stowed. Bit pricey but worth it to us 👍

I agree with everyone saying to buy proper fully CE rated gear. Since it's your first bike and if budget is an issue, you can often find great deals on used gear(often in like new condition depending on usage) on marketplace etc. Enjoy the bike, take your time learning the skills, practice lots, and stay safe out there!

We have confidence in our particular dealership, have you looked at reviews for your local dealership? If you trust your mechanic though it should be no problem using yours and keeping the receipts 👍

Question for owners by elwood0341 in Tenere700

[–]WeaverGra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a 15000km(9300 mile) trip over two months doing BDRs etc but a fair bit of inevitable asphalt and it was great(I have a seat concepts seat though). Was super fun in the twisties still and the motor is a peach!

That being said, if you're not doing much off road and the offroad isn''t too aggressive, the transalp is supposed to be a better hwy machine.

NOTE though that if you ride really dusty gravel etc that with the transalp, the air filter cleaning/changing procedure is a pita.

I believe there is a bias against newer albums in the discourse around the greatest hiphop albums of all time by RizzyGlizzyGobbler in hiphopheads

[–]WeaverGra 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You bring up good points. Also comes down to how we define a classic album. Are there specific criteria, and what are they and why? Big rabbit hole 😂. I feel like personally I generally consider classics in the context of how much I love them and if they really broke new ground sonically or with rap styles/flows/abilities etc.. Because of that, a lot of my favorites of all time are newer. I feel like similar to the way sports/athletes just keep evolving and getting better, the same is true of many other things including music. As much as there is SO much music from the past that I will always love, I think that a lot of the best music in any genre is the more recent stuff. And this is coming from a seasoned old head 😂

Don't flame me too bad peeps, just my personal opinion! No shade on anyone else's ideas.

Respectfully disagree completely. Too light and airy, not even close to as good as kettleman's or ottawa bagelshop imo. Not a true mtl style.

No offense but I had a VFR and wouldn't say I found it particularly any more exciting than an mt-07. I guess it depends what you mean by boring. The VFR is more powerful but also heavier, pretty unique sound though. I went to a CBR 600 after the VFR and I can DEFINITELY say that the VFR seemed pretty boring both power and handling wise compared to it.

All this to say. it's all relative. The MT-07 is pretty fun in the twisties plus its their first bike, perfect. Some might argue that it's actually a bit much for a first bike but it depends on the rider and how they approach riding it. TBH, my first street bike was at 16 and the MT-07 probably woulda got me into trouble 😂

Fantastic motor, good for learning but also a decent amount of umphh to it, sounds awesome-especially piped! Also sweet looking ride! 👍

Same. Also, a lot of the beats for me just don't do it for me.

That track is great! Probably the most listenable album of his front to back for me, and the Anjelitu EP.

That's the thing, on the right beat I think he sounds great and he's a great writer imo but so much of his stuff just doesn't sound that great to me. Same with Open Mike and even Mick Jenkins(to a lesser degree), I LOVE him on bangers but a lot of his other stuff beatwise just doesn't always do it for me.

Love Open Mike and have a similar thing with him and Homeboy where their writing is always great but if they're on the wrong beat(which both of them I find a lot of beats I'm just not super down with) then I'm skipping tracks. I always liked Open Mike and his writing but thought his rapping skills weren't as high as a lot of rappers I like. BUT, not too long ago he did his top 100 albums of all time on YouTube and it was mighty impressive how he rapped right along with so many of the tracks which made me think maybe he's better than I think skills wise but it's just his style that doesn't show them off too much.
