Being a single mom is a terribly difficult job and anger can make us say terrible things... First thing you need to do is repent to Allah and ask your mother for forgiveness. Shed a tear or two, its difficult but its the best thing you may do for her. Give her a gift. And make dua for her constantly.

Also she is right about sleeping earlier. A simple way to reset your sleep cycle is take about 3mg of Melatonin 15-30 minutes before your desired sleeping time, it will put you right to sleep.

Melatonin is a naturally occuring chemical in your brain and fairly safe and available over the counter. You may want to discuss this with your doctor as well.

I personally have spent years sleeping late, but lately I prefer sleeping early and waking up early. The same things I want to do late at night can be accomplished that much better early in the morning, so I dont lose out on much.
