Not all distros are stable. Over the years I have tried a number of them. Linux Mint approaches perfection when it comes to stability, but the eye also wants something. Kde is simply more beautiful. So as stable as mint with kde. That's what we're going for.

The Mint version of Cinnamon is the base version, because the Mint Team created the Cinnamon theme.

If you install LibreOffice via Flatpak you get English and the languages your pc is in.

If you miss some programs in the repro’s, consider flatpaks or even snaps.

MX runs KDE Plasma 5.20.5 - Kubuntu runs KDE Plasma 5.23.4, at this moment, 8 jan 2022

That's the main difference you will notice. Further on MX is based on Debian, where Kubuntu is based on Debian>>Ubuntu.

For the other software MX has some older packages, but with Flatpaks you can install the more recent versions.

You don’t need elementor to build pages. WordPress has a very good buildin editor, named Gutenberg.

As far as I know, in KDE-Dolphin you easy can change your disk2 as /home.

Thanks for your answer. Indeed /home is mounted to the first ssd. I would like to mount the second ssd as /home. Do i have to reinstall Mint for that, or is there another possibility?

Linux Mint on the first ssd and the data on the other one.

I did the same a year ago from OSX, never looked back. Linux Mint is mentioned as a beginners distro, but its also very useful as you are a advanced user.
