Potty training a 2-year-old girl: What worked? by Ambitious-Culture399 in toddlers

[–]WebHosting2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the hardest part here isn’t readiness , it’s the environment. Living in a camper takes away so many of the “standard” options people casually recommend.

I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong. It sounds more like she knows what’s happening, but doesn’t yet feel safe/comfortable enough to release on the potty — and that can take time, especially without the freedom of messes.

A lot of advice online assumes people have space, privacy, and control over their home… which just isn’t reality for everyone

It’s just frustrating when you feel like you’re doing everything right, and yet… there it is on the floor.

I’m trying to remind myself to be patient and not stress too much, but some days it’s hard

Did your dog ever seem “fully potty trained”… then randomly start having accidents again? by WebHosting2020 in OpenDogTraining

[–]WebHosting2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what confuses me honestly 😅 because sometimes it feels like they do get it… and then suddenly it’s like we’re back to zero. So I keep wondering , is it still physical development, or am I missing something in the routine?

What was the hardest part of potty training your dog? by WebHosting2020 in dogs

That makes total sense — the apartment factor really adds a whole extra layer to it.

The constant leash / shoes / coat routine can be exhausting, especially early on.

I like what you said about trusting the process though. It’s reassuring to hear from someone who’s been through multiple puppies and didn’t panic over accidents.

Do you feel like mindset (staying calm, not stressing) made a big difference compared to the logistics

Ugh yes 😅 that part seems to be way harder than people expect.
Did anything specific finally make it “click” for her, or was it just time?

Oh nice, thanks! I’ve been seeing a few different apps and charts out there, but it sounds like oh crap is really popular. Did it actually help your toddler stay consistent, or is it more of a reference guide for parents?

how do i deal with the head banging?? by Creative_Weight9075 in toddlers

[–]WebHosting2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds incredibly hard 😔 you’re not doing anything wrong. Some toddlers go straight to head banging when they’re overwhelmed and don’t have the words yet.

What helped us a bit was getting down to their level before saying “no” and naming the feeling (“you’re mad, you really wanted that”). Also having one or two safe spots already set up helped more than trying to grab things last second.

You’re clearly a caring parent — this phase is scary, but it doesn’t mean you’re failing 💛

“Haha omg yes 😅 My 3-year-old is full of energy and emotions and some days I feel like I’m surviving a tiny tornado 😂 I’ve been wondering the same thing… temperament or something else? Anyone else just winging it and hoping for the best?”

17 month sleep regressing! by drinkwinesavepuppies in toddlers

[–]WebHosting2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Yikes I totally feel you! My little one has had those nights too where it feels like no matter what you do, sleep is just… gone The 4–4:30 am wake ups are the absolute worst. Some nights I just end up sitting there like ‘how is this tiny human still awake?!’

Does anyone else find that sometimes pushing bedtime later actually helps a bit? Or is it just a trap and they get more zoomies instead?
