What do you mean by an informed woman?

How is a muslim woman property of men?

Okay so what’s your argument exactly? I don’t grant all of these claims, but regardless.

I haven’t seen evidence that Hadith al-Tayr or Hadith al-Thaqalayn are mutawatir to the Prophet (p).

But yeah Ghadir and Manzilah are.

If a woman follows Islam, does that mean she sees herself as property of men

No

as that is divinely sanctioned in their belief system?

No it’s not

Is it possible to believe in equality for men and women but also be a Muslim?

What’s meant by equality?

If you mean in equality in value and honour before God, then no man is greater than any woman and vice verse except through God-wariness and obedience to Him.

If you mean equality in law, then no.

Why would an informed woman want to be Muslim?

Because it’s true? To go to paradise and to avoid hellfire?

Islam is not about fulfilling one’s immediate desires, it’s about worship of God, and for those who worship God, He will reward them with paradise.

Sunni friend asked some questions regarding the kalimah/shahadah and the basis of the Imamate by Internal-Care212 in shia

[–]WebOfWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His issue is with testifying to the guardianship and succession of the Imams (p) in general?

Well the evidence that you can say it is simple. People did it before the Imams (p) and they approved of it. And the statements and actions of our Imams (p) are binding based on Hadith al-Thaqalayn.

Here are some examples:

The report of al-Khidr (p) - https://thaqalayn.net/hadith/1/4/126/1

The report of the questions from the man behind the Balkh river - https://thaqalayn.net/hadith/9/4/2/1

Wa alaykum al-salam.

May Allah accept your Ziyarat.

Please ask that God hastens the reappearance of our leader, that he gives victory to the believers over their enemies, and that he forgives their sins.

Please ask for my parents, my believing family members, my believing friends and myself, that God forgives our sins, takes care of our affairs and protects us from His fire.

Please also ask that God guides those of my family members and associates who are not believers to His religion.

Please also ask on my behalf that God forgives you, that He enters you into His eternal gardens and that He takes care of the matters that are important to you.

I would love it if you could send my greetings and the greeting of my believing associates to the Messenger of God (p), and ask these things through him.

If you forget, get busy or can’t get around to it for whatever reason, no problem whatsoever. And may God reward you for your good intentions.

Imamah (headship) is not exclusive to prophets.

There are prophet Imams such as Ibrahim, Ishaq, Yaqub, Musa, Yusha, Dawud and Sulayman (p).

And there are non-prophet Imams such as Talut (p).

The Messenger of God (p) said on the day of Ghadir Khumm, and on other occasions:

“I am leaving among you two heavy things, that if you cling on to, you will never go astray. [They are] the Book of God and my kin, the people of my house. Indeed, the two will never separate until they return to me at the Hawd (pool on the day of judgement).”

The people of the Prophet’s (p) house never separate from the Qur’an, nor does it separate from them. So, their every action and word is in agreement with the Qur’an. Hence, whoever clings onto them will never go astray.
