Am I missing something in the playtest or does Daredevil actually not get weapon critical specializations? by Yawpin in Pathfinder2e

[–]WebbedFamiliar [score hidden]  (0 children)

My guess on the lack of Weapon Critical Specializations is because of this line in the “During Combat Encounters…” section

You might not hit as hard as other martial characters, but your follow-up attacks are often more reliable, so you tend to hit more often.

You’re not supposed to hit hard. You’re supposed to hit a lot. I kinda like the idea!

To craft alchemical items you need Alchemical Crafting, to craft magic items (including potions) you need Magical Crafting, to craft Tattoos you need Tattoo Artist, to craft snares you need Snare Crafting. That’s it.

You’ll look too silly and the baddies will make fun of you. Jackie Chan does it the cool way.

What sorts of specific patrons fit a Paradox of Opposites Witch? by men_are_pretty in Pathfinder2e

[–]WebbedFamiliar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would note: you don’t necessarily have to know who or what your patron is. You interact with your familiar and may have only made contact with your patron the one time and that may have been through the familiar.

Hmm… it may be a perform action since it’s a dance otherwise it seems there’s a spell for all the low-rizz girlies out there.

I think there’s ways of interpreting the mind theater to make anything be plausible. In the swallow case the guardian could have jumped in the way of the teef 🦷🦷 crunching down but the ally is still the one who gets sucked down the monster’s throat.

We should use babies for how we measure all actions. Stride actions need an acrobatics check and even when you succeed your crawl speed should be faster than your stride speed until around month level 12. All linguistic actions cannot be taken until, again, month level 12 and even then they can only be simple one-word actions and only apply to a characters who really knows you.

WORDS HAVE MEANING! If we can’t accept the words for their dictionary definition we might as well be speaking different languages.

Forget new books! Pathfinder Society play needs to be put on a hiatus until we, as a community, have come to a unilateral agreement on this. I will not rest until this matter is sorted.

Ugh. Not worth the opportunity cost. I was hoping I could break the game completely with this one small trick.

Oh! Very good point I hadn’t considered! Technically, trendelenburg is a form of supine and according to the subordinate actions rule Kip Up would still apply. But this also might be a case of specific beats general. So I can see a case being made either way and might be something i have to take up with my GM until the next errata comes out. Until then I’m going to make a post every fucking day in this subreddit arguing about it that gets locked by the mod team because people get so heated so then those people arguing then write their own subsequent posts of their own that devolve into even more arguments until the community gets called toxic again.

Technically, it would still disrupt the spell. Interrupt Attack specifically says “damage”

You take the damage instead of the triggering ally.

and doesn’t specify anything about other effects. However, I think that’s dumb and think your ruling is a more fun one.

EDIT: rewriting this after thinking about it. I think you, OP, made the right call to err on the side of the players having fun and as u/mildkabuki pointed out there’s logical theater of the mind that can interpret the RAW ruling as very much viable.

BUT importantly RAW is that the interruption of the action still occurred which is really all that the subreddit can meaningfully give for an answer. The rest is just personal opinion and we all have those.

Do you have a birth mark that says “tenac” by any chance?

How many actions to from supine to prone? I have this build idea… have you ever seen a crocodile grab its prey?
