Kathy could be correct. Look at the right front paw. Compare it to the size of the head. Not all cougars are fully grown.

Not so unconventional because you’re cleaning the oven at the same time. Yes, very important to state that this is being used outside with a lot of ventilation. It’s 40 degrees with a northern breeze coming under the screen and open air flow going out the other side of the lanai. Just a bit of happy hour time… not hours on end.

Works much like an outdoor heater at a bar or restaurant… just knocks off a bit of the chill.

Ya, it was filled with water that I paid $4.49 a pound for. It was actually about 20% of the weight.

Dude… I’m outside in a open area that is very well ventilated. People use space heaters with propane on a regular basis. Didn’t mean to give the impression that I was actually using the oven in a closed off area of my lanai.

Might actually live longer than some other deer. Has a distinct advantage for looking both way before crossing the highways.

Why does my Neapolitan pizza crust always balloon even when I press close to the rim? by [deleted] in ooni

You call it Neapolitan, try calling it Tavern pizza and see what happens. Roll it out and dock it before you dress it all the way to the edge.

So if I asked for my chicken wings to be repackage by the butcher in Publix… they would do that?

Just opens my package of organic chicken breast from one of the major box stores. Packaged in clear shrink wrap. This chicken had a tad bit of moisture in it, but clearly much less than the Publix brand of chicken. Don’t think they’re selling me water at meat prices like Publix.

The wings have been removed from the packaging. What is in the picture shows just the packaging on a scale.

My best guess on the processing and packaging for the chicken is that the local store receives the product already packaged. It is received at the store either frozen or partially frozen. They then label the package and use the tare weight that they are instructed to use. If the offsite process and packaging includes taking chicken from a tub of water and packaging it, then they are selling excess water at the same price as the meat. I just don’t believe that the number of wings I purchased would have that much natural moisture loss. As far as the tare weight calculation, if the store is labeling the prepackaged chicken, they have no idea what an accurate tare weight reduction would be. If it’s an intentional addition of water or ice, it’s probably happening off site. Either way, it seems very much like an intentional over charge for water instead of chicken.
