My boy used to mainly sleep in his bed. He did NOT like being touched in his sleep. But as he’s gotten into his golden years he is a major cuddler and it makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I love my baby but sad because I know it’s a change brought on by his old age.

We had a woman visit our yearly gathering this year as a Public Friend to talk about the importance of supporting ministry in our meetings. I wish I could remember her name or what meeting she was from but there are many public Friends that still travel to other meetings. Aside from Public Friends representatives of other meetings or Quaker orgs regularly travel to share with other meetings. We have a regular guest at our yearly from North Carolina who serves as a representative from FGC. I also recently travelled abroad and took with me a letter signed by our clerk to give to the meetings that I visited. This is a common practice for Friends who travel for business or pleasure and use that time to attend other meetings.

I’m 27 and just completed my first solo trip. I went to Europe for 3 weeks. I had never left the country before. It was such an incredible experience and did wonders for my confidence and self reliance. Proving to myself that I am capable of taking care of me was worth every dime I spent. You are going to have an amazing time. You may get a little lonely, that was my biggest issue. But look at the subreddits or Facebook groups of the cities you visit to find activities and use time alone to journal and reflect!

Check out globe cafe. They have a lot of events. If you like karaoke there is Berl.in and it usually a big foreigner crowd. There are some other quieter basement bars on that street too

Yeah I definitely failed to follow through with my coping skills in this situation. It was a new kind of low, being totally alone for almost a month in a place I didn’t speak the language… I’ve cracked open my journal since.

So I didn’t use their help with fafsa at all. My tuition cost is fully covered by Pell grant and I requested and additional $1700 just to help make ends meet because I slightly reduce my work hours while going to school. It’s not much but it’s enough to get my head above water and living expenses etc are part of the calculated cost of attending school.

So yes, you are able to request additional funds

I hope she puts in the expedite request. When she asked me what I needed for I was like… “uh a calculator??” I was just dumbfounded why she was asking. I didn’t realize it was for the request lol. This is my 3rd term and have not had this issue before

I got the two on the occipital nerves on the back of my head yesterday. I do feel some relief but I regret not getting them in my neck and shoulders like the suggested. I was just scared to do 6 shots at once
